Is it true that American highschools start at 7 am?!?

I'm going on student exchange, and in the book it says that school starts at 7 in the morning!!

Some of them do...it really just depends on where あなた are. For example, the high schools in my hometown didn't start until 8:30 but the schools just 1 county over started an 時 earlier.

Well, my Elementary and Middle school starts on 8 a.m. and my high school starts on 8:15 a.m.
Though, I live in Hawaii. I suppose some schools in North America might start on 7 a.m. I wouldn't know..

Our AM classes start at 6:45am. But most people start at 8. The AM classes are for people who want to take extra classes または don't wanna a last period.

So maybe its just the school that you're going to.

It depends on the school. A lot of public schools start earlier like 7 または 7:30 while a lot of private schools start later like 8 または 8:30.
