They're obviously very intimately connected, but I wouldn't call it dating. It's a really unhealthy, tragicially inescapeable friendship that should be more but never can be. I don't know...calling it dating makes it sound like it works.

I'm sorry but i don't agree with chunkyrice. Although it's not dating, their connection is far deeper and even romantic than physical relationship. I think they have and will continue to find ways of expressing their love without having to get physical. If they ever find a way of touching this will only be an added joy, not the reason for their connection.

I'm pretty sure the whole message of their story is that you can be in a relationship and really care about someone without ever having to touch. They're in love, it's obvious, but they've never really touched. That's why it's special.

But you can care about someone and love them without being a couple. I guess this is a semantics argument at some point, but I feel like you have to make a distinction between what they feel and how things have to be. Wanting to be together really badly doesn't change the fact that they fundamentally aren't.

I certainly think they mean a lot to each other, but "dating"? I have to say no.
