Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Sneak Peek: Are Emily and Paige Breaking Up? (VIDEO) 

Oh no! Are Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) about to break up on Pretty Little Liars? In this sneak peek for Season 5B, we see the couple lounging on Emily’s bed, discussing Paige’s imminent departure. Her parents insist that she leave Rosewood for California now that she has enough credits to graduate high school. Their logic: Rosewood is too dangerous. Fair enough, Paige’s parents. Fair enough.

Paily pulls off the melancholic romantic thing so well. This scenes reminds us so much of their lakeside chat about their future in Season 3. This one ends a bit more hopeful. The two don’t technically break up. Instead, they try to come up with ways to convince Paige’s parents that she should stay.

“You’ll miss graduation,” Emily says, gloomily.

“My parents say that’s just a technicality,” Paige responds.

“And prom,” Emily points out. “That was a technicality I was looking forward to.” Um, can we please have a romantic moment when Paige surprises Emily by showing up to the prom looking gorgeous? Thanks? Better yet, maybe newly trained hacker Aria could break into the school’s database and erase just a few of Paige’s credits, ensuring that she have to stay through the rest of the academic year? According to Paige, “I have enough credits to leave early and that’s all that counts.”

And you know how we just made a list of the Most Romantic PLL Moments of 2014? Well, we already have a contender for the 2015 list because Paige ends the sneak peek by gazing into Emily’s eyes and telling her: “I heard a song the other day. Old song. Girl says: Your eyes. It’s day’s work just to look into them.” Oh, god. Our hearts can’t take this.
