I don't really think he was THE most useless...Yeah, maybe sometimes he quite useless but there are some episodes where he was very helpful. Such as the one where he was able to temporarily command three pokemon on the episode he first met prof Oak.

I kind of liked Max, to be honest. It was nice to have a kid that didn't have a Pokemon on the team. I like that he knew a lot about Pokemon at a young age.

I respect both your opinions. @LostOblivion, it was a POKENAV he bringd out at the right time. And Kadaj, yeah, he knew an awful lot about Pokemon at a young age. It was good to bring him into the series as to explain all the newer pokemon in to Hoeen region. Although, we did already have the pokedex...

Max has noticed the traps before they have happened at times and ash falling for the traps everytime is one of the reasons. I don't care about max tbh

Lol, totally false...the episode where MAX was introduced in he had no idea that there was even a trap right in front him or may. But who knew? ASH DID! He warned the very second they fell down.

Not sure. The show would have been fine without him, but yet it was nice to have him around. Sometimes he was useless, at other times they needed him.

I liked Max. He was a fresh character who didn't have any pokemon. And he was helpful throughout most of the Hoenn series.

I liked him,and he's Haruka-chan's brother,he's also very smart..and there have been episodes that have revolved around him,I imagine every of the hoenn and even battle frontier episodes would have been very different without him around!

To me, there are other useless characters.
