One day, as Hillel and I were walking around the campus to kill time, my roommate showed up with two guys who looked like thugs. My roommate said, "Oh, if it isn't Letty, the girl who hates rap music." I said, "It's okay if I can understand the words. That's why I like Red Hot Chili Peppers. When Anthony Kiedis raps, I can understand what he's saying." She said, "Let's get her, boys!" My roommate and the thug guys charged at me. They were ready to beat me. Hillel jumped in front of me and shouted, "If あなた want to beat her up, you'll have to get through me!" They began beating on him. I cried, "Hillel!" He said, "Run, Letty! Run and hide!" I ran as fast as I could. I found the campus police and told them what was happening. In the blink of an eye, they rushed to the scene and pulled my roommate and her thug フレンズ off of Hillel. He wasn't moving. My ハート, 心 sank. Am I too late?, I thought. I slowly walked up to him. I knelt down beside of him and said, "Hillel, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have got あなた into this." I began to cry. He opened his eyes and asked, "Did the campus police take them away already?" I still had tears in my eyes. I cried, "Hillel! You're all right!" He said, "I was hoping they'd stop beating me if I acted like I was dead. I'm sorry I upset you." I said, "Don't apologize. I'm just glad you're okay." He smiled and said, "You don't have to say any prayers for the dead just yet." I said, "Hillel, あなた know I'm not the praying type." He said, "I know that. I'm teasing you." He put his glasses back on, which amazingly enough weren't damaged at all. He said, "You told me you're not religious at all, but あなた believe there's something または someone out there." I said, "Yeah." After a pause, I said, "Let's go to my car. I have a first aid kit there. I can patch up your wounds." As I cleaned and patched up Hillel's wounds, he said, "It's too bad I don't need stitches. Can I have some Lilos instead?" I laughed. "You're weird, Hillel." I affectionately teased. He said, "Well, there's nobody weird like me." We had a good laugh over that one. Later, I learned that my roommate and her thug フレンズ were put in jail for assault. Hillel and I were relieved over that one. I had my dorm room to myself for the remainder of the semester.

Before I begin, I'd like to thank 80smusiclover1 for the inspiration.

1. I am generally optimistic, but I wasn't always like that. I had a little help from my friends, especially RocknRollSoul60.

2. When I'm feeling really happy, I tend to start sentences with "dude" and end them with "man." For example, "Dude, I just got a discount on that Beatles CD, man."

3. My least お気に入り color is pink. I don't dislike pink, but I'm not crazy about it. You'll never see me wearing a ピンク t-shirt.

4. I rarely wear long sleeves. Sometimes I'll wear a sweater over one. I typically wear a leather ジャケット in the...

Despite the fact that Louise was kicked out the the hate group, she still had the attitude of one. My parents had to go out of town for a weekend. At one point, Louise began beating me. She then left the house. I packed up some things and went to Gavin's house. Gavin answered the door. I said, "Gavin, I just came to say goodbye." He looked at me curiously and asked, "Where are あなた going?" I said, "I'm running away." He became wide-eyed. He said, "Please don't run away! That will only end in disaster. あなた might get hurt または worse!" I said, "It doesn't matter." He said, "Quinn, it does matter....

As the months passed, the hate group began to hate Louise, and she was kicked out. I found it rather amusing. I said, "It's pretty embarrassing when a hate group あなた like hates you." She became pale with embarrassment. "What's wrong, Louise?" I 発言しました without much sympathy. "You're looking quite pale." She glared at me. "Yeah," Gavin said, "your face is starting to match the cliffs of Dover." I fell on the ground laughing. Louise said, "You suck, Gavin!" He said, "Hey, I'm not the one who beats the hell out of my sibling. Do あなた think you're trying to make her holy または something?" I continued...

The 次 morning, I woke up to a wonderful smell. Gavin's mother was cooking breakfast. She insisted that I stay for breakfast, so I took the kind offer. I thanked Gavin and his family for their kindness and went on my way. Gavin insisted on walking with me, so I said, "Okay. It won't be so lonely that way." Along the way, we ran into my parents. My mother said, "Quinn, we've been looking everywhere for you. Where have あなた been?" I explained everything. My father thanked Gavin for helping me out. They then worked it out that Gavin's house would be my 安全, 安全です place if my parents would not be home....

As I was making my way back home, I didn't notice that my shoelaces were untied. I didn't care either. I tripped and fell. Just then, someone helped me up and asked, "Are あなた all right?" I said, "Yeah. Why do あなた care?" He said, "I was just making sure あなた weren't hurt. That's all." I said, "Sure. You'll act like あなた care, and then, you'll go waltzing to Louise just like everybody else!" He said, "I'm sorry. Who's Louise?" I looked at him, and said, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize あなた were new here." He said, "There's no hard feelings." He spoke in an English accent. He appeared to be about...

One night, my grandmother came to me in a dream. She said, "It seems that things aren't going so well here." I said, "No, they're not. Louise is teaching Sunday school for a hate group." My grandmother said, "Louise is awful young to be a Sunday school teacher. She's hardly a woman yet. She's only sixteen." I told my grandmother everything Louise had 発言しました to me. My grandmother said, "Those are horrible things to say, especially to a child. あなた haven't even turned twelve yet." I said, "I know." The 次 morning, I reluctantly went to school as usual. Kyle was my only friend. I could talk to...

I woke up in the middle of the night, frightened out of my wits. I was relieved to see the light from my night light. I took some deep breaths and 発言しました to myself, "It's all right, Quinn. あなた just had a nightmare." I stared at the ceiling, reflecting on the events of the past couple of weeks. After my grandparents passed away, I had moved to a different state with my family. Mother wanted to keep the tradition of going to church, since my grandfather was a pastor. Unfortunately, we unwittingly ended up with a hate group, similar to that of Westboro Baptist Church. My older sister, Louise, loved...

I haven't written any 記事 on my ファン club in a while. I felt like 書く a eulogy about my dog, Fluffy. Fluffy was my 秒 female dog. I remember when I got her. My aunt and uncle and I were visiting with my grandmother's sister in Florida. One of her neighbors happened to be breeding Smooth コリー puppies. I took one of them ホーム with me, and I named her Fluffy for the sake of being ironic. She was the most vocal of all the イヌ I've had. She was also very motherly. When we adopted Roxy, my Pit Bull, Fluffy accepted the pup as her own. She did the same with my Rottweiler, Stone, and with my newest dog, River. When my first dog, Diesel, passed away, Fluffy grieved もっと見る than the other dogs, save for Sadie, my Labrador. Fluffy grieved really hard when we ロスト Sadie a 年 ago. Fluffy was really smart, too. She knew hundreds of words and phrases, and I cannot possibly name all of them. I miss her very much, and so does everyone else. I'll never forget her. May she rest in peace.
It was the last night of New Religion's tour. After playing most of the songs from their album, they played a few cover songs, including System of a Down's "Ego Brain". That song had helped Erin through many, many hard times. Towards the end of the concert, Erin decided to play the final song. She said, "I'm going to play the last song. Many of あなた who ever received an autograph from me may または may not have noticed that I always sign right-handed, yet I always play ギター left-handed. Well, here's the reason. I do this in memory of my dear friend, Barry. He was a big Paul McCartney fan. When...

Some weeks passed, and the members of New Religion were asked to give another interview. The interviewer asked, "How did あなた all meet?" Erin said, "We all met in high school, except Paul and I met before then." Paul said, "Erin and I met in the eighth grade. She had recently ロスト her best friend, and she was depressed. I knew she needed a friend." Lola said, "They later met me and Carl in high school, and we started a band." The interviewer asked, "How did あなた come up with the name, New Religion?" Erin said, "Well, when I was a kid, I thought I was a Christian, but I started to become disillusioned...

It was close to Christmas. The members of New Religion decided to go spend time was their families. Sadly, Erin's grandmother passed away. It was devastating for Erin. When New Religion picked up their tour, many people wanted to interview Erin. Lola said, "She ロスト a loved one. How do あなた think she's doing?!" Carl said, "Erin needs time to mourn her grandmother. She doesn't need a microphone in her face." Paul said, "She's been through so much. Leave her alone!" Erin thanked her フレンズ for standing up for her. She later said, "I now know how Paul McCartney felt after John Lennon got shot." Lola hugged her. Things did get better for Erin with time. She ロスト so many she loved, but she kept going and never gave up.

One day, the members of New Religion went on a hiking trail. During the hike, Paul got carried away and did not pay attention to the slope in front of him. He took a hard fall. His mates rushed to the slope. They could see him lying on the hard ground. "Paul!" They cried. "Are あなた okay?!" He grunted in response. Lola said, "Oh, no! He's hurt!" Erin carefully made her way down to Paul. Carl and Lola followed. Erin knelt down beside of her friend. He groaned in pain. She said, "Talk to me, Paul." He said, "I think I've broken my leg." Lola and Carl made it to Paul. Carl asked, "Paul, do あなた think...

The members of New Religion had been to New York. Their 次 stop in their tour was Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was a bit different from New York, but they thought it was a beautiful city. Erin especially liked it. She said, "So far, the only city I've seen that was もっと見る beautiful than this was Rockingham, North Carolina." Paul said, "It certainly a beautiful city. If I'm thinking correctly, one of the members of Red Hot Chili Peppers was born here." Lola said, "Yeah, I think so. It was Anthony Kiedis, wasn't it?" Carl said, "Yes, it was. He was born here on November 1, 1962." Paul said, "Geez!...

The members of New Religion had released their first album, Broken and Mended, which was named for Erin's song. After the release of the album, the band went on tour. Carl was the most excited about it. He had traveled to many places, and he really enjoyed it. He said, "I can't wait to start our tour. I 愛 to travel!" Erin was the most nervous, as she was afraid of heights. She said, "I'm not really comfortable with heights." Lola said, "I'm sure you'll be fine." Erin said, "If あなた get me high enough, I'll pass out." Paul said, "Don't worry, Erin. I'll sit によって the window." Their first show...

The 日 after I was released from the hospital, my friend, Alyssa, paid me a visit. She said, "I just heard what had happened. Are あなた okay?" I said, "I'm badly hurt, but the doctor 発言しました I should recover." She said, "I'm glad for that. Why didn't あなた come to me instead of running away?" I said, "I just didn't think things through, Alyssa." She said, "Ellie, promise me あなた won't run away. You'll come to me instead." I smiled and said, "It's a deal!" Sometime later, Grandpa and I found the owner of the house on the other side of the forest. That kind man saved my life. The least I could do was...

Lying on the snow-covered ground, injured, I was sure I was going to die. I then saw the owner of the house approaching me. I had seen him in his yard on many occasions, but I never saw him up close until that day. He knelt down beside me. He asked, "What are あなた doing out here によって yourself?" I faintly said, "I got ロスト in the blizzard." He noticed the blood-stained pants leg. He said, "You don't look so good. You're pale." He then pulled up my pants leg and saw my leg was badly wounded. He said, "You're badly hurt, too. I better get あなた to a hospital." He picked me up to carry me to his truck....

I continued walking through the forest. It was so cold. I could hear the snow crunching under my feet. Suddenly, it began to snow. I couldn't really see where I was going. I made another step, and I heard a snapping sound. Immediately after the snapping sound, I felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my leg. I thought, I must've broken my leg. I'll try to get up to see the damage. When I tried to get up, it felt like something was keeping me from getting off the ground. It was almost as if I was chained. I uncovered a hunter's trap in the snow. Grandpa had shown me how to disassemble a hunter's trap...

It was a Saturday morning. I had spent Friday night with my grandparents. Grandpa took me ホーム Saturday afternoon. Father was waiting at the door. He said, "Ellie, あなた have homework this weekend." I said, "I'm not being smart with you. I'm telling the truth." He said, "Let me give あなた what my father gave me." He slapped me across the face. The forced knocked me to the ground. I said, "Father, it doesn't matter how one lives, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. It's fine to be a Christian, but it's not okay to beat the hell out of people in the name of it." I guess he knew I was referring to him. He beat on me a while and...
