The CW’s hit veteran show, “One Tree Hill” has been unofficially picked up for an ninth season. Thirteen new episodes have been ordered at the moment, The CW won’t announce until the May upfronts but will most likely receive a full season if numbers are good. The show’s creator has already been notified as the season eight finale will be approaching in less than five weeks, according to my very close source at the cw headquarters. I received an e-mail this weekend. Despite the rumors of James Lafferty, Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols not signing on for a season nine, I was told that each has agreed to a new deal that will keep them on the long running show for another five seasons. The new additions such as Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten and Jana Kramer have no worries because they been inked to a long term deal when they signed onto the show before season seven. Now for Bethany Joy Galeotti who portrays Haley James Scott and one half of the popular Naley will not be returning to the show next season. Creator and executive producer Mark Schwahn already has her exit planned and/or filmed which was originally one of the cliffhangers he would have added in the season eight finale but ultimately decided that he will give fans closure to this season.
The Haley cliffhanger will air in the very beginning of 9×01, the season nine premier this fall. What I was told, they already filmed parts with Bethany Joy on a sound stage during final week of season eight filming. which involves Haley getting into a really bad car accident. They now only need to film an insert exterior shot of a car crashing into a tree which doesn’t require BJG to film, it is how Mark and his writers had it scripted. Season 9 this fall will be starting off with a bang, an emotional and heart wrenching storyline that will effect majority of the characters on the show. There are talks about Chad Michael Murray, Moira Kelly, Paul Johansson, and Barbara Alyn Woods all returning for a few episodes for this big storyline. No words on Hilarie Burton but I doubt it, she has a regular role on White Collar and her character wasn’t one that Mark suggested to return but he wants Chad back for at least a 12 episode guest spot but nothing has been confirmed as of now.

Maybe I am taking this too extremely because Naley IS my OTP and I can't even imagine then to be anything but endgame! And killing of Haley is truly the WORST possible case scenario!
And Lucas returning without Peyton is absolutely useless, at least for me! And I am sure BL fans feel the same way considering how Sophia is completely unwilling to shoot a scene with Chad, and Brooke being married this won't help either of the fanbases!!
Please, please, please just end this show!

I don't see why they're so desperate to bring it back though, this show has WELL run its course!
But without Haley I don't need another season! If anyone of the remaining 3 main cast members is not signing for S9 then just end the show... It survived somehow without LP, but I don't think it would survive one more main character leaving!
