The ‘not so shiny’ side of the penny
//Niall Horan and Fans//

We all want to be famous, whether we admit it to ourselves または not. If あなた think about it, I’m sure that あなた can recall at least one moment when あなた thought to yourself または unconsciously announced out loud that if あなた had the power to change people’s way of thinking または the money to help someone in need, you’d gladly use the opportunity. It surely sounds appealing to me – being able to ‘change the world’ and finally create the ‘Utopia’ we’ve been hearing about for so long.

Well, I’m afraid that we have also learned through some rough personal experience, that every coin has two sides and not both are always as shiny and pleasant, as we wish they were.

Niall Horan – 18 年 old, a naturally a dark brunette, who claims that ‘it hurts so much getting his hair bleached’, but still does it, because he loves being blonde. あなた might have heard about him, not only because, as his フレンズ and members claim ‘he is loud’ and ‘you can hear him before あなた see him’, but also because he is a member of one of the most 人気 boy bands these 日 – One Direction. The five talented young men, with marvelous voices, fascinating looks and quite charismatic characters, quickly gained popularity all around the world, through the British テレビ 音楽 competition ‘The X Factor’ and in my opinion, they deserve it.

I could spend hours typing down compliments about their captivating charms; however, this is not the purpose of my article. To be honest, I am not exactly a ファン of One Direction, although many of あなた could use the 前 paragraph against this statement. I am simply a teenage girl, who enjoys granting her eyes the pleasure to observe something amusing, other than Nature’s beauty and the architectural evolution. This is actually how I got across something that upset me and the reason I am 書く this now. Below is what caught my attention, while I was doing a small research on the band;

“Once a group of ファン hugged all the members, except me;
I was standing there smiling, but inside of me, in reality I was feeling really bad.’’

This, supposedly, is something Niall had 発言しました and unfortunately, it is not the only case of ignorance towards him, on behalf of some of One Direction’s fans. I understand that everyone has the right to a choice, who to like and whom to despise and I respect that. I also understand that I am not in a position to judge other people and their actions and this is not what I am trying to do right now. However, I just couldn’t stand and tolerate または ignore this behaviour and I decided to share this ‘discovery’ with あなた and hear out your opinions. Personally, I find this rude and unacceptable. Those boys often sacrifice their personal life and affairs and dedicate themselves to the fans, continuously training to improve any imperfections and please their followers, gifting them with their gratitude, love, passion and on-going support, just as their ファン do. I would understand if the people, who are considered as ’anti-fans’ acted in such an inappropriate way, but if someone who claims to be a fan, upsets the person または people he または she admires so sincerely and looks up to, it is just saddening.

If あなた spare a moment to think about it, あなた would most probably come to the conclusion that when we meet our フレンズ for an instance, and they have brought a friend of theirs who is either an acquaintance または even just a stranger to us, we still give them a sign that we acknowledge them, out of respect towards our friends. We would wave and smile at them, nod または handshake または even go as far as giving them a hug as well, so they don’t feel left out. Am I wrong? Of course, it’s a matter of personality and I guess that the current situation would also affect our decision.

I am not quite sure where I was trying to get to when I began 書く this, nor what I am trying to say with it now, but there is one thing I know; Niall is an amazing person and he deserves as much as he can get, which is a lot. He has helped many people in various ways and so have the other boys. I guess that the idea behind this is to cheer him up, although I doubt this will get to him (and I actually hope it doesn't, because it would be very embarrassing). That's why, I wholeheartedly hope that those One Direction ファン who act in this way towards him または any other member of any band, would realize the effects of their actions and would not repeat them.

Now that my ‘emotional confession’ has come to an end, I would like to apologize to anyone I might have offended または irritated and remind あなた that this is based on personal opinion.

I also want to thank to anyone who has stopped their work for a while to read this and I would sincerely appreciate your コメント and opinions. After all, we’re all unique and the way we would react to certain コメント and in specific situations is often different.

P.S.: My English is not very fluent and I would like to apologize once again for any mistakes made on my behalf.

Thank You,

Angelina, 16
