I hate Buttercup so much! It took four tries for me to get all the way though The Princess Bride because I kept turning it off at the swamp scene when Buttercup just stands there screaming while Weastly is wrestling that rat. I mean come one! Even the heroine in Flash Gordan, back when poorly written female characters could be excused by the conservative pre-feminist society, would have at least thrown a shoe at it! Of course it would have taken her far to long to remove those awful red hooker boots she was wearing.
