Killian Jones Has Hooked Our Hearts

We’ll get straight to the point: Hook is the greatest character on

. This swashbuckling pirate is the perfect storm of charisma, intense eyes, pretty brooding and leather. Since he first joined the story in Season 2, we’ve been counting all the reasons why Killian is the best. Here in no particular order are our favorites:

He says things like “bested,” “fancy you,” and “love.”

This might not sound like a great reason, but let’s face it, everyone loves a bad boy with a broken heart (that they can fix).

Layered vests, seafaring jacket, leather pants… boys, take note: this is how menswear is done.

And his eyebrow raises are superior to all other eyebrow raises.

But, we know that he only really has eyes for Emma.

He says the most devastatingly romantic things, like, “There’s not a day that will go by that I won’t think of you.” Or, “When I win your heart…it will be because you want me.”

His smile is pretty much the best thing ever.

His lack of knowledge about 21st century things is adorable.

He might not understand what a cell phone is, but he’s definitely picked up modern day style.

Hook was just as cute in his pre-pirate, guyliner days.

The best pirate to ever grace our television screens.
