Is the Yoshi that stars in the games always the same Yoshi?

Well deductive logic tells us that since all the Yoshi's are a different color, if あなた have the green Yoshi, then あなた are playing as the "main" Yoshi. We should research to see if the the Yoshi's (in general) have the ability to change colors.

the green yoshi is the main yoshi and the other Colors（色） are a other yoshi species but in different Colors（色） so あなた dont get comfused

I think there multiples Yoshis with different colors, but I think the green one that appear in all this games あなた 発言しました is the main Yoshi, Mario's friend.

I would say that the Yoshi in spin-offs (Mario Kart, Tennis, Strikers, Smash Bros etc.) is the same one + the one in Mario Galaxy 2
The other ones is probably different (in my opinion)
