Soap Opera Weekly - August 1999

The extras outnumbered the contract players によって もっと見る than 10 to 1 when GL taped the elaborate masked ball July 29. That meant new costume designer Shawn Dudley was up to his eyeballs in sequins and feathers.

"Since April, it's just been a whirlwind," Dudley said. "Closing Another World down, and coming over here... I'm a little lost. They told me before I came on that we were going to do a remote. But, of course, they didn't fill me in on the size, and what it was going to turn out to be. And with the ball, they also said, 'Oh, it's not going to be that big. It's...

Gather a group of women, and gossip and laughter are sure to run rampant. Do あなた hang out together while you're working?

LENZ: We're hardly ever up on the same set anymore, but if we're all on the same day, we do.

Teenage whiz Joie Lenz (now Bethany Joy Galeotti) explains how she parlayed her short-term ギグ as a clone into a contract role as GL's Michelle.

According to GL's Joie Lenz (Michelle), walking the halls of her private Christian high school and the soundstage of a soap are a natural fit. "For me it's just normal," Lenz explains. "It's like, ‘This is my job,' and the other kids at school have always been cool about when I've had work. I'm getting used to the everyday grind of either going to school または going to work. In the beginning it was difficult to...

Last fall, Rebecca Budig decided not to renew her contract. In response, the 表示する brought in a ringer -- Joie Lenz (who's won raves playing the teenage Reva clone) -- to take over the part. GUIDING LIGHT – Danny & Michelle

Springfield sizzles this summer with super-hot honeys Danny and Michelle. Although their romance came out of left field – as the result of a split-second decision to save her life – this dynamic duo is definitely on the right track. In a relatively short time, even によって soap standards, the combination of the reluctant mob-heir apparent and the beautiful pre-med student has viewers glued to their sets! In fact, the formerly married couple hasn't even made 愛 yet… and won't if his gun-toting mob mama Carmen has anything to say about it. Passion, romance, danger and conflict: This couple has it all!
Best Recycling of An Actress:

Joie Lenz (now Bethany Joy Galeotti), GL

We had joked in "Summer Previews and Predictions" that GL could bring back Lenz によって having Dolly revert to her teen years, but the 表示する had other ideas: When Rebecca Budig decided to leave in November, executive producer Paul Rauch brought in Lenz to play Michelle. It was quite a creative transition, and seamless, too. Lenz seems just as at ホーム in Michelle's skin as she was in clone Reva's. She's a mighty fine actress and a consummate professional.

Lenz made quite an impression in just nine...
