I remember visiting this website once...
It was called "The Night Shift" Captain Too Fantastic - thebacklot.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
It was another surprise but welcome appearance by Luke Macfarlane as Captain Rick Lincoln on last night’s show, which featured Drew in a pissy mood and almost everyone in the cast … almost dying.
Drew is proudly showing Paul and Krista a video of Rick’s ass (or Rick’s ass double) shimmying its way through an obstacle course. “My man’s a bad ass! He’s training to be a combat instructor. He runs the course tonight to see if he makes the cut.”
Drew has other things to think about it, though. He’s put in charge of the floor tonight “You might as well step into those Chief Resident crocs now,” and it goes to his head. He mercilessly berates BFF Krista for goading Paul into venturing out into the field, blaming her when Paul comes back injured. What’s worse, a patient under Krista’s care almost dies when she neglects to do some … medical thing … to him, and Drew yells at her for that, too. She does have an excuse though! She was tending to Rick, who broke his blade. Please don’t let that be a euphemism.
Drew finds Rick being tended to, and luckily, he’s fine.
“I finished the course. Ropes, tire, belly crawl. Left it all on the field … including my leg.
Drew tells him he’s proud of him, but just remember that they only take the top ten percent, and he doesn’t want Rick to get his hopes up. Rick responds “You know what? I don’t even care. I felt like a ranger again. I think that’s worth more than anything.” Drew is relieved, as he thought Rick might be overdoing it since he found out Drew was being named Chief Resident. Rick tells him “You have to stop walking on eggshells around me. I’m thrilled and proud of you. Your wins are my wins. And vice versa. We’re a team.” Drew agrees, and apologizes for hovering.
As Rick is leaving, Drew gives him a surprise. Now that he’s making almost twice as much as Chief Resident, he want to buy a house for the two of them. And maybe more than the two of them someday. Rick is delighted, but before they can celebrate, Rick gets a call from his Commander. He made the cut! And what’s even better, Rick made the top one percent. They want him to train the trainers! So why isn’t Rick as ecstatic as Drew at this news?
Because with this promotion, he wouldn’t work in Texas anymore. He’d have to move to South Carolina.
So that’s it. Next week is the season finale (the show has just been renewed for Season Three), but I fear what this means for the future of Rick and Drew.
