I have a question. Why was the mother and Meg upset at the moffats after the party? I mean the only thing they did was gossip but Marmee 発言しました that they were ill bred. What was so bad about them?

I think it was because Mrs. March didn't approve of Meg dressing up like a "doll" like the other wealthy girls. によって doing that all the time, Meg would've eventually grown to wishing for もっと見る splendid items and become lazy.

I think it's because Mrs. March couldn't understand how the Moffat girls,who were almost the same age as her daughter, had such ideas in their heads when her own daughter was as innocent as a little girl. Gossiping is bad. Gossiping without having any knowledge on the subject is worse. Maybe this is the reason she thinks Moffats are ill bred.
