**Let me just note that the Jake icon for "We Belong Together" is basically me every damn time i watch that scene! It doesn't matter how many times i watch it, [or the coda of 2x10 for that matter!] it doesn't matter how many years it's been since it aired, IT DOESN'T FREAKING MATTER THAT THEY DIDN'T END UP TOGETHER AND GOT NO FUCKING CLOSURE, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO JAKE & JENNY?? YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE, MARK SCHWANN, I FUCKING HATE YOU!!! I NEEEEEEED TO KNOOOOOOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PERFECTION THAT WAS JAKE JAGELSKI!!!! - Nope, none of that matters, {and I'm not at allllll bitter!} i still squee like a maniac!

Seriously though - no disrespect to all the LP fans, you guys know I actually ship them and got over hating them ages ago - but i don't think anyone can deny that it was shitty the way Mark just ended them like that, and never gave Jeyton fans ANY kind of closure! At least Brucas got a little bit with 4x08, and the fact that they then had such a wonderful friendship in S5... but Jeyton? One minute Peyton missed him so much, she was so sure of her love for him that she's proposing to him, and then POOF! She goes back to Tree Hill, realizes she still has feelings for Lucas, and it's as if the end of 3x19 and all of 3x20 & 3x21 never happened! Jake doesn't even get mentioned again until 6x17 when Peyton makes a joke about sexy single dads, and then again like 2-3 episodes later when Brooke tells her about Julian asking Brooke & Sam to come away with him:

"Guess what. Your ex-boyfriend just asked Sam and I to go with him to LA. Tonight."
"Jake?"
"This isn't funny!"
