I think she hit the nail on the head with this one. She describes it almost perfectly. I believe everything she said.

I think the writers are setting House up for another fall, much like the one in season 5. Except this time Kutner's death doesn't set him over the edge it's what he views as Cuddy's abandonment.

I also think it's interesting that 13 is in the same place as him this time. Throughout the episode he desperately attempts to prevent her from feeling the same hopelessness as him, and it just doesn't work.

We are gonna be in for a very interesting ride the next 3 weeks. Fasten your seatbelts everyone!

I have to say that at this point I really don't care anymore. IF they come back for Season 8, thankfully it will be the last. Of that I am sure. I watch now just because I've come this far and it would be silly to "put the book down now."

House the miserable, drug addled genius is no longer interesting. House the man trying to have a normal life with a woman he loves or just being content and unattached was way more interesting.

Watching him struggle with the implications of loving Cuddy (his boss) and not wanting to rock that boat, whilst still being the medical maverick he's always been was really good.

The end game for him IMO is an intentional OD alone , miserable and in the dark. He will die alone in his apartment hallucinating about Cuddy and what could have been. OR he is going to make some HUGE mistake at the hospital resulting in him loosing his medical licence, job and ultimatley Cuddy. His job being the thing that defines him, and as a result of having nothing left to live for he will end his miserable life. Because as DS says House is NEVER going to change, so what is there to look forward to? NADA!!!

Sad really....cause lets face it House M.D was a brilliant show!
