SEVERAL HOURS LATER…….


Lying on his back, House came back to the world slowly, his brain taking it’s time letting it in. He hated mornings, and he especially hated the mornings his leg hurt like it was hurting now. Eyes closed he tried to ignore the throbbing in his thigh. He was tired and sore and wanted nothing もっと見る than to sink back into sleep. Reaching down he rubbed his hand over the scar. As his hand made contact with his leg his brain finally caught up. I’m NAKED! The 次 thought was; WHY? Then very quickly the events of the past hours came rushing back.

“Cuddy!”

Opening his eyes he looked down at her. She was snuggled 次 to him. Her breasts pressed against his chest, an arm flung over his stomach, a leg hooked over his. She looked so beautiful, her hair spread over his chest and arm, her soft breaths puffing lightly against his skin. Tightening his arm around her he pulled her closer. Her sleepy moan, making him smile, she tightened her hold on him. He still could not quite believe she was there, lying in his arms, naked, sated and sleepy. He wanted to throw back the sheet so he could look at her. But he knew that if she caught him she would punish him. Then again the punishment might just be worth while. Softly House ran his hands all over her back. Her skin was warm and smooth. Down further, until he could close his hands over her backside, settling there he stroked her skin. They had wasted so much time, making each other unhappy instead of just behaving like adults and dealing with their attraction. He had wanted her then already; hell, he had always wanted her. And it had just gotten stronger and stronger as the years went on.

He prayed they could make it work; he never again wanted to be without her. He could not stomach the thought of her with another man, just thinking about it, he felt like he would erupt into violence. He also knew that he was going to have to make a considerable effort if he wanted to keep her. He would never admit it, not on pain of death, but he was prepared to do and be anything she wanted him to be. The only problem was; he didn’t think he could change and THAT scared him!

Running her hands down his sides she tickled him as she made her way down his body. House tried to catch her hands but, his squirming was having an altogether different effect on both of them, so he stopped.
“I drove here did I?”
“Yup, I might be mistaken though; あなた could have come on your broom, it was dark out!”
With that Cuddy pushed herself up into a sitting position and thumped him on the chest. House was laughing at her and she was laughing at him laughing at her. She had never seen him this playful and knew he was enjoying himself. Truth be told, so was she.

Cuddy watched his face as he watched his hands. His eyes were bright and she felt a little shiver slide through her. She sat straddled over him and felt his body swell and harden under her. Arching her back she pushed her breasts into his hands, she wanted what he wanted. Still watching him she ran her hands over his chest, her fingers spearing through his chest hair. Leaning over her he kept her still.

Looking back at him lying on the bed, her eyes traveled down his body stopping first at his erection, arching an eyebrow, her eyes moved lower stopping again when she reached the scar.
He was watching her. She walked around the ベッド to his side and sat down on the edge. Before he knew what she was planning she reached out a hand and rubbed the damaged area. “It’s hurting isn’t it, where are your tablets?”
Sighing at the feel of her hands on him, he nodded “medicine cabinet in the bathroom.”

“Yeah, but it can wait.”
“I’ll get them.”

“Later, I need to call ホーム and check on Rachel, and I want to get your pills.”
Frowning he asked, “So we are done here?”
“For now!”
“Okay,” he nodded miserably and tried to get up. His leg really was hurting but he didn’t want her to see how much.

Cuddy stood stunned, what had just happened? One 分 he was playful and silly and making them both burn. Then in the 宇宙 of a heartbeat he changed into the surly man she had seen much too often in the last years. Cuddy hated that he walked away from her like that.
Turning she scooped up her shirt, snatched her panties from his jeans and jerked them on, then spread the sheet back over the bed. Walking toward the キッチン she heard him in the bathroom.

House closed the door and leaned his head against the wall. How was he going to hide this from her? He was in one hell of a lot of pain right now. Lifting his foot of the floor he bent his knee, letting his leg hang free. The dull ache never completely went away. It had with the Vicodin, but the Ibuprofen just was not strong enough. And he knew he couldn’t take anything else. Hopping toward the medicine cabinet he reached for the little white bottle of Ibuprofen. He took two pills and popped them into his mouth. He was so used to popping pills he never even bothered with water anymore. Sitting on the side of the bath he opened his ローブ and looked down at his leg. He half expected to see it throb! Rubbing the aching area with his hand he tried to warm the muscle. What he should do is run a bath and soak in the hot water. That normally helped with the pain.
As he sat rubbing his leg and thought about Cuddy. What had he just done? He completely ignored her and walked away. He realized that it was classic House. He knew she would dismiss it as him being him. But that is not what he wanted. He did not want to be that miserable, self obsessed man anymore. Like he told Dr Nolan, he was tired of being unhappy. He wanted to be the man he knew he could be, and especially with her. The man that was playful in bed, the man that loved and adored her, even if he could not say it out loud.
Getting up he quickly washed his face, and while he was there he brushed his teeth.
Taking the head of his toothbrush he dropped it into the glass. Then he reached for a new brush head still in a blister pack and left it on the side of the basin.

Taking a deep breath he opened the bathroom door and limped down the hall toward the living room. He could hear her in the kitchen, stopping he took a deep breath, then releasing it slowly he walked into the kitchen. She was standing with her back to him, replacing the filter in the machine. He knew she had heard him, his limping walk made his footfalls heavy. She did not bother to turn around. She just kept fiddling with the filter. She was dressed in “her” ピンク シャツ and he knew she had retrieved her underwear. She was angry and hurt and no way was she standing around half naked. He could see it in her angry jerky movements. Limping up to her, he slid his arms around her waist, pulling her back against him. She resisted but he was stronger and もっと見る insistent. “Sweetheart, I’m sorry.”
She never 発言しました anything, just stood there looking at her hands. Pushing himself against her, he held her still.

Cuddy heard House come into the kitchen. Ignoring him she carried on changing the filter for the coffee machine. She was mad as a box of frogs. He definitely was making a good case for her not to have a relationship with him. She could not believe he ignored her and walked away. She was very close to tears; this is not what she had had in mind. She’d thought he had changed. But it seemed; that was all a show. He was still it seemed, the same miserable, uncommunicative man he had always been. Then she felt him behind her, at the same time his strong arms closed around her dragging her back against him. She could smell the toothpaste on his breath as he said; “sweetheart, I’m sorry.” She tried to ignore him but then he started キス her. Her ear, her jaw and down her neck, his breath warm against her skin, his whispered words, softening her heart. He never apologized for anything, EVER!

How was she ever going to resist him? She had to make him understand that she was not going to put up with his moods. If he was going to get all sulky and sullen she would rather stay away from him. She had enough on her plate. She wanted a man that wanted her, as much as she wanted him, in and out of the bedroom! A man that would help her, take care of her, talk to her and most of all trust her. As much as she loved him and enjoyed his lovemaking, he really was a generous lover; she would rather not start something that would end up breaking them both.

Turning her in his arms he looked down into her eyes. There was no mischief in them now and he hated that he had made her unhappy. He took the filter she was holding and threw it onto the floor. Taking her hands he backed out of the kitchen, toward the living room. He needed to sit down before he went down. She tried to pull her hand away but he had a good grip on her. “No, just come and sit with me a minute. I need to talk to you. My leg hurts, I can’t stand anymore!” Cuddy stopped resisting and letting him pull her along, she went with him to the couch. She watched as he dropped into the seat, and just caught his eyes close as he took a deep shaky breath. Stepping over his legs she moved to sit 次 to him, but as she stepped over him he grabbed her and pulled her into his lap. “No House! Let me go あなた can’t hurt me and then think あなた can make 愛 to me and I will let it go.”
“Cuddy, look at me please.”

Sitting in his lap she looked at him. His eyes never leaving hers he said; “I really am sorry, I was insensitive and it was unnecessary. I should not have done that. I am not going to say it will never happen again. It probably will. I am a complicated man, and I have got a long way to go before I am completely whole. But please don’t turn away from me. I ‘m going to make mistakes, I know I’ve just made the first one! But I need you; I don’t want to be without you. Now that I finally have you, あなた need to understand that I want this to work, もっと見る than anything, I want US to work.” Finally looking away he continued, “Before I went into Mayfield, Wilson asked me if I wanted to be the man with the 回答 または the man with you, and sweetheart, I most definitely want to be the man with you!”

Taking her hand in his he brought it to his lips and kissed her palm. Then he kissed the inside of her wrist, running his tongue up to her inner elbow. Pushing against him she tried to get up, but House once again was not having any of it. He took her hands in his and held them gently above her head in one of his. Cuddy was so mad at him she was shaking; she was fighting to hold back the tears. “Get of me House!”
“Ssshh,” putting his fingers against her lips, “keep still, I won’t hurt you, and あなた know that, just listen to me.”
“I am not going to let あなた leave, not like this. I 発言しました I was sorry, I know あなた are angry and hurt. But if あなた leave now, we are never going to sort this out, and I don’t want that. Stay here with me. Let’s have coffee and we can talk. I hate that あなた think I don’t need あなた または trust you.” Cuddy stopped fighting against him and 発言しました quietly; “Get of me!” House was a little weary, he did not know if that meant she was staying または that the 分 he let her up she would make a dash for the door. She would have to go and get dressed before she left and he would bolt the damn door if he had to. Letting her hands go, he pushed himself up and of her. Holding a hand out to her he pulled her up of the couch, and into his arms. They stood quietly holding onto each other. He stroked her back and she with her hands between them stroked his chest. House released a huge sigh. Squeezing her against him then stepping back he teased; “I’ll make the coffee, あなた keep me company. あなた seem to be having difficulty with the filter!”

Cuddy stood in the キッチン while House made them coffee. He asked her about Rachel, nothing specific just general stuff. Cuddy carried their cups to the living room and they sat chatting about his team and what they were going to say when they got to work. They laughed at Houses impersonations of his team and Wilson’s when they found out, that Dr Cuddy had spent the 日 in Dr Houses bed, NAKED! Then he started on the other doctors and the nurses. It really was funny, if only it was not so terrifying. She told him about suspending Nurse Jeffrey for snooping in his office, and that she knew about all his “petty thefts” in the ショップ and cafeteria. He made his “who me” face and set her of again. House just looked at her. ‘What?”
“I can see your leg is aching あなた can hardly stand または even sit up straight.”
“You noticed that did you?”
‘House I new the 分 あなた tried to get up of the ベッド あなた were in pain, I heard あなた banging your head against the ウォール in the bathroom!”
“It wasn’t my head, it was my fist!”
“Oh Whatever! “ Answer me, ソファー, ソファ または Bed?”
House knew where he wanted to go, but he was unsure of her reaction, and he most definitely did not have the strength for another argument.
Knowing this was a test, he decided to be honest and deal with the consequences; “Bed, I want to go to bed!”
“Good, so do I” and with that she walked out of the キッチン and down the hall.
House was stunned silent and still. Shaking his head he wondered what had just happened. Not caring he started to move. He had hardly taken a step when she came around the corner.
“What are あなた doing? Hurry Up!”
Smiling at her he pointed at his leg.
“Oh please if I was lying naked on your bed, あなた would hop on one leg, if it meant あなた would get there sooner. Now move!”
“Yes mistress!”
Cuddy walked of again laughing at him. She remembered him saying that to her in the Clinic, in front of a patient.
House followed her, laughing quietly at her apparent lack of sympathy for his affliction. He liked the fact that she would calmly tease him about his leg. It was normal.

In the bedroom Cuddy lowered the blinds a little more, and as he came in she said; あなた brushed あなた teeth, that’s cheating.”
“No it’s not; it’s what I do everyday after I wake up! Don’t tell me あなた skip that part!”
“You know I don’t, but it is not fair, I am not going to want to キッス あなた anymore now.”
Frowning at her he mumbled, “Why because I brushed my teeth, I wish あなた had warned me sooner and I wouldn’t have! I left あなた a new brush head in it’s packaging in the bathroom. If あなた want to brush your teeth then あなた can. If あなた don’t, I don’t care, but I am still going to キッス you!”
Cuddy stuck her tongue out at him and went to the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.
“Hey why do あなた need to close the door to brush your teeth? Honestly women!”

Sitting on the ベッド House stared unseeing at the wall. He was rubbing his leg when she came out of the bathroom. Walking up to stand between his legs she caressed his face, his neck, and his shoulders. House put his arms around her and rested his head against her.
“Is it bad?”
“Not as bad as some days, but yes, it’s hurting today.”
Pulling him up, Cuddy loosened his ローブ and pushed it off.
“Get onto the bed.”
House was too stunned to argue; he sat down and swung his legs up onto the bed. Cuddy climbed onto the ベッド with him and straddled his leg.
“What are あなた doing,” he 発言しました as she sat on her knees and leaned forward.
“Relax; I am going to massage your leg. Lean back and close your eyes. Tell me if I hurt you,” she 発言しました as she started to massage his thigh.

Closing his eyes he did what he was told. He relaxed as much as a man could, lying naked on his ベッド with his woman sitting over him massaging his leg, wearing nothing but his シャツ and a pair of レース panties!
“Cuddy, this is a little strange. I can’t sit here naked with あなた rubbing my leg. All I can think about is getting あなた out of that shirt.”
“Would あなた feel better if I took it of?”
His eyes shot open and he stared at her. “Yes,” he answered to quickly, making her smile.
“Well I’m not going to, because then あなた won’t keep still, but I will unbutton it.”
Sitting up, Cuddy unbuttoned the shirt, and then she calmly went back to rubbing his leg. There was no way he was going to close his eyes now, but that was fine, she loved having him look at her. So long as he stayed still so she could deal with his pain.

House leaned back and watched her. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He’d thought so in med school and he had never thought anything else. House watched as the tears rolled down her cheeks, he felt like his ハート, 心 was breaking. She knew!
