House was in ベッド restless, unable to sleep. With the need for Vicodin, and the need to speak to Cuddy; he was undecided which one to choose.
Looking at the clock, he saw it was early morning. He got out of his bed, and paced in his apartment. Going through different scenarios in his mind, he still didn’t feel right being a father. The fact he had this thought in his head, he couldn’t even conceive any idea of him being a good father.
Changing into his trousers and shirt, and putting his blazer on in a hurry, he left his home. Where too? He didn’t know.
Cuddy was fast asleep; her dreams took her from a sweet garden scenery filled with バラ and lilies around her with a baby girl in her arms, to an image of a dark and rusty gate in front of her where she could see a shadow of a man. Every time she approached the gate, the baby girl began to cry. Soon this shadow transformed into House, standing there. Cuddy looked in horror as she realised that her conscience was making her choose between her child and House. She couldn’t have both?
With that, she woke up, breathless and shaken, to her front door ベル ringing. Composing herself, and grabbing her nightgown she made her way to the front door.
“Do あなた even own a clock?” House stood there, and couldn’t help but notice her baby bump.
“We should talk.” House made his way in, and Cuddy followed him to the living room.
“Can あなた make this quick. Whatever あなた need to say, just say it.”
House didn’t dance around the point; he stood in front of Cuddy as she sat down in the lounge chair.
“How long did あなた think あなた could hide the pregnancy?” House spoke in a serious, and hurt tone. Cuddy didn’t usually keep things secret.
“I was going to tell you, but you’ve been through such a hard time. I didn’t know…”
House sat on the edge of the coffee table.
“How long have あなた known?” Cuddy seemed to feel a relief that House knew.
“A 日 または so. あなた basically had it written all over your face; tiredness, short temper, guilt.”
Cuddy looked away from him, before he also looked away. They both had come to a point where they didn’t know what to expect next. Where they to become a family? または was that a step to far?
“What are あなた going to do?” House asked with a sense of hopefulness. Human instinct tells us what to feel when we see our own flesh and blood, but had the disjointed feelings he had felt towards the man who posed as his father scarred him so much so that he couldn’t even make a connection with his child?
“I considered adoption, since this isn’t really the most perfect situation.”
House’s shield protecting his emotion was breaking; his eyes conveyed a sense of shock.
“You’d sacrifice the only chance あなた have of a kid…because of me?”
Cuddy looked down and grasped her stomach.
“Everyone makes sacrifices…” House noticed the look of sorrow on Cuddy’s face, and he felt a part of him hurt inside. Was he feeling a sense of empathy? For the woman he loved?
“…Whatever あなた decide to do, do it.” Cuddy looked up, and could see House’s true feelings come through. His eyes were like a pool into his soul.
Cuddy smiled sweetly at him, House smiled back.
“Damn.” Cuddy smiled uncomfortably, as she got up out of her シート, 座席 and hotfooted her way to the bathroom.
House stayed seated, so many thoughts crammed into his mind. He got up and sat on the sofa, which was もっと見る comfortable, and leant on the 上, ページのトップへ of his cane as he tried to organize his thoughts.
Moments later, Cuddy came back, surprised to see House was still there.
“I thought あなた might have gone already. Since あなた seem to be staying, do あなた want me to get あなた anything to drink?”
House stayed sitting in silence, Cuddy tried to wave her hands to get his attention, but she couldn’t distract him from his own mind.
“House.” House looked up, and saw Cuddy’s smile. “I’m going back to bed. Did あなた have something else あなた want to talk about?” House’s stare never broke.
House stood up, towering above Cuddy; they both seemed to feel the electricity between them. Expecting a kiss, Cuddy leant halfway only to be surprised when House 発言しました a simple “Good night.” And left.

I was 読書 up on opiate withdrawal and apparently あなた can go through withdrawal not just to stop taking the drug, Vicodin in House’s case, but to reduce the amount you’re taking.
So in House’s case, like Wilson said; his Vicodin levels where way to high and so the only option was to let his body recover and reduce it’s need for that amount it got everyday.
Therefore, the 次 morning when he was seemingly better; it was because of the extreme cold-turkeyness that House used to reduce his levels of Vicodin in order for his hallucination of Amber to go away. So I don’t think it was a hallucination, because he hasn’t quit Vicodin, he has only reduced the amount he takes within the 宇宙 of a horrible 24 時 detox. His body no longer craves the Vicodin every 時 または so like before.
Short and simple :)
