Um...why is Scotland on the list? I don't believe he is a character yet, he's still an OC.

PQ: true. I think the fan girls just chose him based on his pixiv design, which is admittedly hot, however it doesn't make up for how much I hate the fandom's portrayal of him. Honestly, the character hasn't even appeared yet and he's already an England-bashing rapist.

black_amaranth: Well it actually does make sense for Scotland to be a drunkin England hating bully. Since even to this day, they still don't like us, but don't want to start another war to get away from us. And even in the show England stated he wanted to be a better brother then the ones he has, since Scotland always bullied him.

Edvygrl: It does make sense, yes, but we shouldn't forget that the England got back at him when he grew stronger. In the show he stated that he used to be bullied by him (and his other siblings) when he was younger but never stated how he was treated by them currently. Also, I've heard that Scotland might leave the United Kingdom come 2014.

I can play favoritism but I think all countries are good in their own way.

As to Scotland... the unacceptable portryal there is, as what you said, that part being "r*pist".

If UsUk's overratedness died down,the fans of Britain also did the same thing. UsUk is still my OTP but that can't compare to this country.

oliver7423: Not really. I know many die hard England fans who either don't ship USUK or ship it because they ship England with pretty much every single character.

This was way too difficult. England is my favourite character, butbutbut I also love France so much and Romano and Germany and Prussia and America and Russia... I kind of love everyone.

oliver7423: You do realize, that a character doesn't have to be your favorite to ship them, right? England's probably in my top 20, yet FrUk is my captain of the ship OTP. You don't even have to like a character to ship them, look at Edvygrl8, she hates England's character. Yet she loves FrUk as well. Though she ships it more for history then the characters. But my point, your opinions on a character, shouldn't effect your opinion on a pairing.

When I first got into Hetalia, the polls on here England and UsUk would always win. Now I see FrUk winning and England getting lower on the list. Guess as the series goes on, people are seeing more of the characters and changing who their favorites are. Like I see France has definietly gotten higher in popularity, expecally since the Beautiful World episodes.

@oliver: I've always like England and I don't even ship UsUk (I'm actually against it). I ship FrUk but England certainly is in the upper list of my preference. But I can't choose him 'cause (besides having a different take of the question in this poll) for me he's of the same standing as Germany, Austria and Prussia. In short, I have 4 equally favorite characters. England was only a little cut above them before 'cause I used to be his fangirl. I changed though for some personal reason.... Alright, I'll tell it so as to prevent any speculation. I quit 'cause i realized (only late) that thick-brows guy looked like my bro when he was still a kid. But it doesn't mean I hate the character. You don't have to be a fangirl to consider a character as your favorite.
