We\'re used to seeing the One Direction member with some pretty wild hair, but his brown locks looked like they couldn\'t be tamed when he stepped out in Los Angeles.

The singer, along with his unruly mane, took a leisurely stroll under the California sun where the 20-year-old is currently on tour.

Along with his four other bandmates, the group are currently completing the American leg of their Where We Are tour which comes to a conclusion in October.

It appears that Harry and his famous fro may have wanted some alone time as he separated himself from his 1D allies and went solo on the LA streets.

The heartthrob was looking his stylish self, choosing to wear a pair of skinny grey jeans and sand-coloured suede boots.

He kept it simple up above, opting for a grey t-shirt which he\'d coupled with an unbuttoned dark shirt.

There was a large hat in sight but the Brit opted to show off his mass of waves and carried the headgear in his hands instead.

Last week, the former X Factor contestant showed his support for Michael Sam, the first openly gay man to be drafted into the NFL, by wearing his jersey.

The American football player acknowledged the gesture and sent out a tweet thanking the 1D member.

Perhaps Harry is eying up a more sporty career after training in exhausting self-defence techniques recommended by Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood.

The teen favourite is reportedly using Krav Maga, which was developed by the Israeli army and involves wrestling, boxing and martial arts.
