Look, I ship Harry x Hermione. But I love the friendship between Luna and Harry. So the girl that is best for him I think is Luna, since she believes in and helps him when he has a hard time. Especially when he feels like no one else does. But the girl I want him to be with is Hermione. So if you are asking which girl he should be with, you should ask that question, not who is best for him.

NectumSolFugit: Rowling never actually said Harry and Hermione should have been the couple she wrote out in the books. The media just completely blew everything out of proportion. What she did say was that Ron and Hermione might have needed marriage counseling (which makes sense), and that Harry and Hermione could have worked, which is also true if she decided to go down that road. She doesn't actually regret doing anything though.

I'm not sure which is the most annoying: all the "who should Harry be with?" variant polls and questions, or the "who's hottest?" variants.

It's clear that all unbiased polls have Ginny/Harry much higher up than Hermione/Harry (going by the books of course), so can we please move on and stop asking the shipping questions...?
