OK So in the Horcruxes chapter, Harry and Dumbledore begin talking about horcruxes and about the prophecy. On pagez 509-510 Dumbledore says that "if Voldemort had never heard the prophecy, would it have been fulfilled? Would it have meant anything? Of course not!" He also says that it was a "grave error" that Voldemort acted on Trelawney's prophecy. But I disagree. They prophecy predicted that Voldemort was going to find Harry (or Neville) and mark him as his equal. Voldemort then fulfilled the prophecy によって finding out about the prophecy from Snape. Dumbledore argues that the prophecy would've never happened in Vodlemort didn't go out and kill the Potters, but the prophecy did not prompt Voldemort to do so, it was just predicting that Voldemort was going to do that. Do あなた get what I'm trying to say? I don't know. I just disagreed with Dumbledore on this one. What is your opinion on this?
