Do あなた think Snape ever had a relationship with anyone?

I don't think he ever had any meaningfull relationship, but he definitely was no virgin. A man like Snape, who basically radiates sensuality and power was definitely not a virgin :)

A real relationship? No, I don't think he was that kind of man and he was too focused on Lily to even try something with another woman.

But a virgin too? It could be. Ofcourse we don't know for sure. He was still a man.. So I assume he also had desires, so maybe occasionally he just had sex to fulfil his wants and needs. Nothing serious. No ties. Plain and simple.

I don't think he ever had a long-term, romantic relationship with anyone. I don't think he ever could have, after everything with Lily.

As for dieing a virgin? Sex and 愛 don't always mix together (one night stands, anyone?). I don't think Severus never touched a woman in a sexual way, either before Lily died または after. He was, after all, only a human with human needs.

I don't think the 質問 is "crass". I'm playing with that notion of his being a virgin actually in a fanfic I'm 書く (and maybe how he's going to lose it).

Though I totally agree that 愛 and sex are 2 different things - especially for a man. One night stands do exist, he was a Death-Eater, maybe he was compelled to have sex with Death-Eater victims, etc. (I also played with that notion in another fanfic of mine.)

I read a paper about "late virginity" : it can be due to several causes, men and women alike. The paper gives several reasons but I identified 3 of them that could correspond to our Severus :

- they have witnessed/sustained unhappy sexual experiences. They are traumatized. Maybe Severus have seen collective rapes when he was a young Death-Eater and it disgusted him from sex ;

- a deep, sublimated 愛 that prevented the person to 移動する on in another relationship - these poeple are in general unable to cope with a disappointed/unfulfilled first love. They are mourning an idealized image of that love. Looks like our Severus here ;

- an absent または intrusive mother, which led them to feel rejected, ugly, unwanted, they generally feel ill-at-ease in their lives. Could be our Severus here too, his mother being abused によって his father (to what extent ?), he had also been neglected によって his mother, she seemed to have been particularly missing at some point.

Of course, the above relating to Severus' case is sheer speculation from my part. However, it does fuel my thinking about that fanfic I'm writing...

I think the fact that his patronous remained a Doe until the 日 he died, illustrates that his 愛 never died for Lily. If his feelings for her had subsided, he may not have continued to protect Harry for her until the very end. So this suggests that he didn't have a relationship with anyone else. To be honest, he was so torn up with regret, anger, self-hatred and pain over losing Lily I expect he closed himself off from loving another woman again. This would also suggest that he remained a virgin....which is also a damn loss to all women lol If he did 'get with' other women they would soon have tired of him because none would ever be as good as 'Lily'.

I don't think he did. But if he did, he should have looked me up.

This is just my opinion, but after Lily left him I can't imagine him ever being interested in anyone else...

I believe he may have had uncommitted with the bar keeper in hogsmead as many others had. The story made references to Rose Merta and her friendly open door policy and how everyone wanted her. To me I took it that she warmed many a mens beds and was many young wizards first. lol

i'm pretty sure he never loved anyone else, but i don't think he died a virgin. he was a death eater for the years after he left school and i believe he would most definitely have sex in that time. he was a man and most men do not live to the age of 38 being a virgin even if they did have an undying 愛 for someone else...but that's just my opinion just as some people believe he died a virgin, if he did die a virgin can i say that would be a waste ;)

All clues suggest he never loved anyone else, but I don't think he died a virgin. I can't imagine him doing it with someone, for all the 愛 he had for Lily. It is possible though that in their younger years that Severus and Lily had sex one summer night ?
