I have just tried to refute another "Edward is hot" type fallacy. I've had enough, I'm ready to puke - pardon the language - in link if I see another one. In the foreseeable future, I shall either not bother with such fallacies but instead ignore and ridicule または point to this article. This applies to both sides because some Twilight ファン and some new Harry Potter ファン here are frequently inferring it.

I point to my 前 article: link for the introduction.
I shall here only point out Number Six:
Non sequitur.
What is a Non Sequitur and a fallacy: I shall again refer to オックスフォード English Dictionary because some just does not get it:

non sequitur(non sequi|tur)
Pronunciation:/nɒn ˈsɛkwɪtə/
noun
a conclusion または statement that does not logically follow from the 前 argument または statement
Origin:
Latin, literally 'it does not follow'
link

fallacy(fal|lacy)
Pronunciation:/ˈfaləsi/
noun (plural fallacies)
a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound arguments:
the notion that the camera never lies is a fallacy

Logic a failure in reasoning which renders an argument invalid

[mass noun] faulty reasoning:
the potential for fallacy which lies behind the notion of self-esteem

Origin:
late 15th century (in the sense ‘deception, guile’; gradually superseding Middle English fallace): from Latin fallacia, from fallax, fallac- 'deceiving', from fallere 'deceive'

link

Analysis:
Edward (substitute character for taste) is hot, therefore the series he/she's belonging in has quality.

Reasonably now, these two link are not related to one another; therefore one cannot use one to prove the other. It would be like me trying to prove the existence of the Andromeda Galaxy によって saying that it snows, for an extreme example. For a simpler example I quote Wikipedia:

"The term [Non sequitur] is often used in everyday speech and reasoning to describe a statement in which premise and conclusion are totally unrelated but which is used as if they were.
An example might be: "If I buy this cell phone, all people will 愛 me." However, there is no actual relation between buying a cell phone and the 愛 of all people." - link

Do あなた see the unreasonable argment yet? If not... in plain English:
The Edward Fallacy is
Incorrectly assuming that one thing is the cause of another.
Assuming that part of the examined series is representative for the entire series.
And ad nauseam, it has been so repeated as the holy truth that people give up on it and it wins によって fiat.

Summa Summarum: I've had enough. If あなた use it one もっと見る time I shall force あなた to digest this 記事 under pain of torture または detention, whichever that will amuse me.

*I used to like Twilight until I started really 読書 it and it seemed like the もっと見る I heard または read into it, the もっと見る negative things I would find. This is coming from an unbiased point of view; Me being a ファン of Harry Potter has nothing to do with my opinion.

Why I hate Twilight and think it is a bad example of love:
•     Bella is incredibly disrespectful, insensitive, and rude to her own parents. She even calls them によって their first names. She thinks her dad is a ‘dumb*** and constantly says he can’t look after himself and she calls her own mother an idiot all because...

Exclusive interview with notorious Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange

Here I am, sitting in the private dungeon of the notorious Bellatrix Lestrange, most feared follower of the Dark Lord, and having a completely normal interview. Read on to see if there’s もっと見る to Bellatrix than just madness and a nasty reputation!

RS: Hello!

BL: *growls*

RS: Do あなた mind if I use a quick-quotes quill?

BL: What’s that?

*fingers wand handle threateningly*

RS: Oh, nothing, erm, moving on…Can I call あなた Bella?

BL: No.

RS: How would あなた describe your relationship with the man known as...

I would like to start によって quoting Susanna Laitala, who wrote a review of Breaking Dawn for a Finnish newspaper: "... によって Stephenie Meyer, who, in my opinion, is a very talented writer." I disagree: I do not think Meyer could write even a decent children's book, with a plot culminating in a giraffe finding his ロスト scarf. She would probably decide that the giraffe is suddenly carnivore who has green stripes instead of brown spots - she has already done so to the beloved villains of literature, vampires. Meyer's ヴァンパイア are in fact 'vegetarian': they drink only animal blood. In addition, they...
