I think it's the last episode in season 1 ('A Bit of an Epic') where Hamish realises he has feelings for Isobel, after she saves his life on the mountain.

Was her hair cut short in that ep.? Man, I am not that observant lol
Hmm, maybe you're right. Then I would say it's the last episode of season 3, Stone of Destiny part 2, maybe right after they saw TV John die. I don't remember any other episodes where she would have had her arms around him.
