What does it mean when guinea pigs make there noise? i am confused.

My guinea pigs make a range of noises.

Sometimes, when they are near each other, または just sitting on my lap, they squeak very softly. I expect that's just their form of communication.

When they hear the vegetable drawer open, または the cutlery drawer, または a ナイフ cutting up a carrot, they go berserk! They start squeaking in a loud, high-pitched tone and they sit up all alert and sniff the air. So I'm guessing that means they're excited!

And sometimes when あなた stroke them, または when they snuggle up to each other, they purr. I think that must mean they are content.
