I will probably love him as much as I love Jerome. But for now..... *siiiiiigh* I'm just so sad that Jerome is gone gone. I mean, I'm so attached to him, and now I have to do it all over again with Jeremiah. It feels like a waste of time.

I can see the interesting part being that Gordon and Bruce both trust him, so he can sneak and whatever, but I still think it's just a weird thing to do.

My theory is that they were fed up of doing the whole Jerome makeup on Monaghan, so they decided to introduce a twin brother, than have Jonathan create a funny gas, have Jerome die, Jeremiah gets the gas, becomes Jerome/Joker. Boom. Same character. Same actor. No more makeup to do. That is literally the only explanation that I can come up with as to why they did this *shrugs*.

I wasn't a Jerome fan, so I'm not missing that. I'd like a different take on the Joker, but I'll see how it goes.

Jeremiah is more realistic as the Joker than Jerome was, Jerome was a cliché, he was in the circus, totally obvious. Jeremiah is so much more sadistic in his psychotic persona. He reminds me a little bit of Heath Ledger mixed with Jared leto.

@B: that's an interesting theory! I didn't consider the makeup. I thought the writers were just f--king with us to tell us Jerome wasn't the joker (but he will always be to me :p)

I hate Jeremiah right now because he seems like a needless character - Jerome was great. Also, I don't think he fits in with the established backstory with the blind fortune teller and mother. Why was there no mention of him by the blind guy or attempts to locate him when Lilah was murdered?? Ugh.
But I will probably come around and love him later on because Cam is so great at playing these kind of characters.
