I was touring around school with Principal Figgins. I toned until I heard him say, "We have many クラブ as well."
"Do あなた have glee/グリー club?" I 愛 to sing, as if that wasn't already obvious.
"Yes, but we also have-"
"I would like to go to my locker now."
"Follow me." I followed Principal Figgins to a locker. "Here's your locker combination." He handed me a piece of paper.
"Thank you." He left. I began putting my bookbag contents in my locker. Once that was done, I looked at the schedule Principal Figgins gave me while we were in his office with my mom.
History class. My お気に入り subject! Problem was, I didn't know where it was. So I began asking passing によって students. "Excuse me? Can you-"
"No."
Onto the 次 passing student. "Hi. I was wondering if-"
"Get out of my face!"
"Sorry", I 発言しました as that student walked pass me. I then decided to ask one last student, but not just any ランダム student. Someone who wouldn't be rude and would actually help me. "I'm new here. Could あなた help me find my first class?" I handed him my schedule.
He had on a sweater vest, denim jeans, and glasses. He was also in a wheelchair. "History? I'm on my way there now, I could take あなた over there." He handed me my schedule back.
"Thank あなた so much."
"No problem." I followed him to history class.
As we entered, the teacher noticed me. She walked up to me, while the guy who guided me took his seat, または rather spot, in front of the class. "Class, we have a new student."
Everyone got quiet. "Please introduce yourself."
"Hi. My name is Sol Simons."
"Hello Sol", the entire class said.
"Take a シート, 座席 by", she looked around for an empty desk. She pointed to the empty 机, デスク によって wheelchair guy. "Artie." She went to the board and I took my シート, 座席 によって Artie. "My name is Ms. Holiday." She wrote her name on the black board. "Since your normal teacher is out sick, I'll be substituting until she returns."

I found my way back to my locker. I looked at my schedule. Spanish. As I closed my locker, Artie appeared.
"Sol?"
I nodded.
"Do あなた need anymore help finding classes?"
"Yes actually." It's really sweet how he's helping me. Normally, people would just help あなた once, but he was different. Which I liked. "I need to go to spanish."
"My class is across the hall from there. C'mon." I followed him. "Right there." He pointed to a classroom. He then wheeled into the class across from mine.
-After class-
I met Artie after class. "What class do あなた have next", he asked me.
"Algebra."
"Me too."
I followed him, both of us asking 質問 about each other. Normally, the first 日 at a new school was crap. But my first 日 at McKinley High, with Artie, was the best first 日 ever.
