Chapter 26 : Where The Moonlights Drips Into Your Eyes
The group of teens wandered aimlessly through the thicket of trees, hoping to find some way of transportation によって dawn, but so far, no such luck.
Each carried their own bag of clothes, Edward leading the pack. シャルロット, シャーロット walked slightly behind him, she wasnt sure how to approach him about what he had told her previously. Needless to say, it was an awkward trek.
"So, where are we headed?" Asked Winry dumbly as she stumbled over a rock. Mason walked beside Alphonse.
"We really don't know right now, Winry."
Edward came to a halt before a dim lit street. His eyes glided over the asphalt as he stepped under the light of a 通り, ストリート lamp.
"What's this place?" シャルロット, シャーロット jumped to his side and pointed to a small depot across the way.
"Well thats all fine and dandy," Winry 発言しました shrewdly. "But where are we supposed to sleep?" シャルロット, シャーロット whipped around to face the negative teen.
"Why not just make the best of it?" She narrowed her eyes. Winry spat it right back at her.
"Why cant あなた stop being such a hussy, hmm?" Her eyes flew wide open as Edward held her back away from Winry.
"YOU'RE GONNA DIE!" Alphonse, being the mediator, stepped in with a word of advice.
"Its okay, we're all just frustrated and tired." シャルロット, シャーロット had simmered down, as did the antagonizing blonde. Edward headed toward the station with a heavy mind.
"Im sure its open, there should be some sort of shelter inside."
Edward kicked the door off its hinges and stepped inside, motioning for the rest to follow suit. Few benches adorned the floor of the station, a small bit of light from outside leaking inside.
"Pick a bench and stay there, we'll catch the 次 train outta here in the morning." Edward threw his suitcase onto the floor and made himself at ホーム on a bench away from everybody else. After hours of just randomly rolling around and kicking things away from her feet, シャルロット, シャーロット just got up. She always had trouble sleeping it seemed. She had decided to visit Edward, who was sitting at the edge of his bench.
"Hey." She 発言しました softly as she approached the fair haired boy. He scooted over for her to have a place to rest.
"I just wanted to thank あなた for finding me and-" Edward silenced her with the shake of a head.
"No. It was あなた who found me." シャルロット, シャーロット rubbed her arms, attemping to get warmer. Edward was without his ジャケット to offer her.
"You've been so good to me, I always seem to screw things up for me." He paused for a moment and reluctantly continued. "For us..."
She snapped her head up from her lap and found that he too was staring back at her with his golden eyes.
"I...I just feel so bad that I was the reason あなた left." He put his head in his hands.
"Its my fault." シャルロット, シャーロット felt she needed to do something, it was partially her fault also.
"No, its not." He picked his head up quickly and scowled at her with tears briming his eyes.
"What do あなた mean?! Of course it is! Are y-" He quickly stopped talking when a pair of lips was pressed against his. It was a quick and light kiss, but it was well worth it.
"No. It's not."
