I like both, but I love the original manga's better every time, I think the anime just can't capture something, it's missing something, I just can't explain it!!!!
omg well i say both cuz its always nice to see there exact expression on ther faces and hava nice time watchin tha show but then again the manga gives way more information on the anime very fun also soooo ya i go for both...but mostly thr animeshow n-n xp
It really depends what you want, because the manga has more detail and is more of a drama, but the anime has awesome special effects and is more of a comedy.
manga is my thing, though.
To be honest,I really liked both, but I felt that I was learning about many of the characters and their stories in the manga,I mean I loved the anime as well..but still I kind of prefer the manga.
I love the anime because it's quirky, and I like listening to the voices. It's become a show I watch when I'm under a lot of emotional stress- it just makes me happy for some reason.
I spent the entire day reading the manga, and like I predicted, I adore it. My only complaints is that I have trouble reading it- but that's how all manga's are written, and it's not their fault that I'm reading impaired. I vote it a tad higher because it's longer and goes into deeper detail, but I really have nothing negative against the show- without seeing the show, I wouldn't have become interested in Fruits Basket in the first place.
Even though the anime is one of my favorites, the manga just holds a special place in my heart. The manga was SO amazing, it was funny but sad, cute but dark, had romance but also had a LOT of drama, and it really made you feel for the characters. And even though the anime did show some of what I'm talking about, the anime also changed, left out, and added in a LOT of things to the stories of which they covered (I'm not talking about leaving out Rin, Kureno, and characters back stories, because some of them weren't even intro/told unto much later in the manga after the anime had already been finished). The anime only goes up to volume 6 and what they do cover has a LOT of it was either added in, left out or changed giving the anime a different feel and story/character ending, and if continued with a second season wouldn't make any sense with the rest of the manga (I know some of you will say it goes to volume 8 because Hiro and Ritsu were introduced in volumes 7 and 8, but none of the other stories that are in those volumes are in the anime and everything had a different feel to it because of character development that was left out). However, this anime is still good even with everything that's wrong with it (it could have been great if it kept to the manga, which is why I say the anime should be re-made instead of having a second season). But that's just my take on it, still love the anime but love the manga even more!
In the anime they didn't put Kyo's side story with his hat in there T^T That sucked!!
manga is my thing, though.
they missed out so much in the anime but it was still good
Sooo much better, because in my opinion, the story really starts getting better when the anime ends xP
If you haven't read the manga, READ IT! You won't regret it :D
