Last week the world lost its collective mind when reports of a Friends reunion​ after 10 years of waiting, with all six cast members on TV for a 2 hour NBC special, started doing the rounds. 

\'OH GOD WE\'VE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS\', people cried, while others ran out into the streets and started screaming the lyrics for \'I\'ll Be There For You\' into the faces of unsuspecting strangers who had not yet heard the news. 

ANWAY, then came the dark clouds of truth, after Matthew Perry revealed he *won\'t* be attending the reunion, due to work commitments in London. 

We wrote a feature entitled \'12 times Chandler Bing was a little bitch\' in response to that, because we felt hurt and betrayed. 

Now David Schwimmer\'s given us another cold, hard dose of reality and gone full-on Ross Geller - by schooling us all on the definition of a reunion when asked about the, errr... reunion, in a recent interview. 

Speaking to FX\'s Television Critics Association panel yesterday, he said: "I mean, in no way is it a Friends reunion when one member is out of the country. 

"But look, it\'s a great event. We all love James Burrows and I\'m sure Matthew Perry would be there if he could, but he\'s working in London. Maybe one day there will be [a reunion], but this will not be it." 

He later repeated the sentiment on Access Hollywood, saying: "It won\'t be a reunion, but it\'ll be fun."

Oh lordy it\'s like \'WE WERE ON A BREAK\' and \'Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E means "You Are", Y-O-U-R means "Your"

What do you make of all this? Still praying this is all an elaborate ruse and Matthew Perry will be there after all? LOOK WE CAN DREAM OKAY?
