Bias : an inclination or prejudice in favour of a particular person, thing, or viewpoint

Oh I didn't know what bias was but I guess the C.A.T. spot is quiet biased to the anti-twilight POV. It doesn't bother me because I'm in that POV too but I know it has bothered a lot of other people.

Um, isn't that what Fanpop is all about? When you're a fan of something, don't you have an inclination/prejudice in favor of it? What's the difference between a regular spot and a bias spot?

Another example would be in the Johnny Depp spot where most fans just adore every single piece of his work just because he is in it. Johnny Depp has had his share of bad films but many fans think everything he does is wonderful because he is johnny depp and the same goes for many film spots that have johnny depp in them. though there are of course many wonderful fans that are able to find faults and still be a fan

After thinking about huddysmacked's comment, I think maybe I understand. Is it a spot that's supposed to have a kind of balance but leans towards one aspect? Going with the C.A.T. example, that spot is supposed to be for both fans and antis but I'd say it probably has more antis. Is that what you mean?

Ok I think I get it now and I think the answer is yes. The Supernatural spot is pretty heavily populated with Deangirls. Being a Deangirl myself it doesn't bother me too much but I know some Samgirls find it frustrating. But I think most Deangirls love Sam too, they just like to bitch about him. LOL
And I've heard horror stories about the Twilight Spot- how if you express one tiny negative opinion about Twilight you'll get reamed by the rabid fans. Which is part of the reason the C.A.T. club was formed. So that fans could talk about the things that bothered them about the series without getting attacked.

^ Yes the C.A.T spot does have a high population of anti's but there are a good few twi fans and team switzerlands etc. on the spot. The reason not a lot of the twilight fans are on the C.A.T spot i think is because they do not like hearing peoples negative opinions eg. the clingyness of edwards and bellas relationship. But there are a good few twilight fans who are brilliant for debating and are really decent people and we would love even more :)

the HIMYM spot is getting all annoyingly over populated with barney lovers and barney/robin shippers. i love NPH more than life itself and i think barney is awesome but it doesnt mean that you cant criticize the character occasionally and that he has to win every.single.pick.
it seems pointless to ask anything cause everything will ultimately come down to barney. i also blame the writers though..making ted the boring douche and lily the annoying whiny bitch and robin a slut. i guess it not entirely the fans fault.

imho you can criticize someone/something ESPECIALLY if you care. and all those "OMG HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT" comments seem silly and immature.
