I'm a silver person, and I usually like the ones without any type of stones. I might make an exception for a nice silver & turquoise ring, but otherwise I prefer a band with some pattern etched into it, or some silver art pattern. Another nice thing is the fact that it's a lot cheaper than gold.

I used to be a silver person ... until I got tired of always having to clean it. Now it's white gold or Platinum.

White gold looks more or less exactly the same as silver anyway i guess. I have a gorgeous silver ring with an elvish inscription like Lord of the rings style, it wouldn't work in gold.

I think there's a lot of artistic things that can be done with silver, that can't be duplicated in gold. ...and whether I could ever afford gold or not, I still prefer silver. Most of the rings that I own are made by Native Americans. I usually wait until there is some kind of festival or a pow wow to buy them, and a lot of the dealers sell them for half price at those events.

I think silver is more better.Gold makes me look like an Indian(from India not USA Indian) person because of my skin tone which is a little bit dark.And also I think gold is for old people.

I have always liked silver but DrD your right if you dont keep them clean then they are a bitch to clean, thats when I pass them off as antiques...lol

I always found that mine stayed nice and shiny. The only time I had a problem was when I worked at a restaurant, and their cleaning/disinfecting liquids blackened them. I think there may have been bleach in it. Doing the dishes at home seemed to bring them back to their original shine, and I just removed them before I had to use the cleaners at work.

I have a whole jewelry box full of emeralds and rubies set in silver that is tarnished like hell... come clean them and I'll give you your pick of the bunch to keep ;)

I think yellow gold is kinda tacky!!!
