So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some 動画 and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".
"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created によって an already existing ファンポップ member to skew the results of a pick または an argument in their favor. I have read things 投稿されました によって other Fanpoppers suggesting their existence in the past, but hadn't knowingly spotted any for myself. Tonight I believe I spotted three different people doing this.
The first example I discovered through a series of picks created によって a user that I had never seen around before. I'm all for new users, so I answered the picks and made some comments. Within the コメント sections of these picks, I noticed two other users that I had never seen before. The thing is, the three users didn't always answer the same way, but their コメント were always similarly rude. I decided to compare all three users and I discovered that they had much in common. They had all joined ファンポップ this month, none of them belonged to any spots, aside from their アイコン - their ファンポップ user pages were all blank, and they had all answered picks from the exact same four spots, and only those four spots.
I found the 秒 example within a pick that had been answered 444 times. This pick had three pages of comments, and on the 秒 page, I saw the following: Three コメント that 発言しました the exact same thing, in a row. All three user names were different but fit the same pattern, Girls-first-name followed immediately によって a two digit number. An example of what they looked like is "Mary25". And all three belonged to users that had no icons, contributions, または information to speak of. Not to mention they didn't belong to a single spot.
The third, and luckily, final example I noticed was within the exact same pick as the 秒 example. As I mentioned, this particular pick had three pages of comments. After 読書 through them, I went back to check the results of the pick. I found the option that came in 秒 place particularly odd because in those three pages of comments, I hadn't seen a single one in support of it. This option had been added to the pick によって a user other than the picks creator. I went ahead and clicked on the person who added this option only to discover, あなた guessed it, that their user page was blank! In fact, this was the only pick they had ever answered.
Obviously, I have no way of knowing if these are in fact "Ghost Accounts", but the coincidences seem overwhelmingly in favor of that being the case. Since I had never before noticed behavior such as this, and I noticed it three whole times today, I decided to think of three reasons that creating these accounts to answer picks is just plain silly. Without further ado:
#1 - あなた Know Better!
It's not a presidential election, ファンポップ is for fun! There is no point in seeing your choice win if you know it isn't genuine. Do あなた really think that seeing your お気に入り thing "win" a pick will have もっと見る impact on someone than 読書 your well thought-out, well written コメント would?
#2 - It's disrespectful to Other Users
There are two main functions to posting a pick. One is that あなた get to share your opinions with others. The other is that あなた get to see what other people think. によって tampering with the results of a pick, あなた deprive its maker of the latter によって making 発言しました results inaccurate. I know that when I post a pick, what I most enjoy afterwards is 読書 the コメント that it spawned from others. It's great to make your opinion known, but use コメント to do so. I guarantee that they will be read.
#3 - Being in the Minority is OK
So what if your opinion is not the 人気 one. Take pride in the fact that you're an independent thinker または that あなた see something where few others do. または better yet, flex your ディベート skills によって trying to persuade others to see your point.
So those are my reasons. I know that most of あなた who are 読書 this are cool, respectful people who realize the idiocy of committing the aforementioned act. I was just annoyed with what I saw tonight so I had to release my irritation somewhere. Thanks for listening.

I did it again.
I accidentally hit the "start chat" tab again.
And couldn't remember how make it go away.
I've had this problem a few times before and have to re-learn it every time.
For some reason, I'm always under the impression that the solution lies under my プロフィール settings.
It does not.
So now there is an 記事 to remind me, and anyone else who needs it, how to get rid of this dang thang.
Step 1: Under the "contacts" tab, click "I am online." The words, not the pencil. If あなた click the pencil, it will complicate things and you'll have to reload the page.
Step 2: Click "Log out."
It's not the most obvious way out, but it's easy once あなた finally remember how to do it, so I hope this helps cut down on some frustration. (If not for you, at least for me 次 time I accidentally open it and frantically 検索 for a solution. =P)

Yeah, I know this is kinda lame, but this is all I could think up! :'(
Just go to an article, (or look the person who あなた want to message up) and click their name near the top. ファンポップ will 表示する あなた their プロフィール page and scroll down until あなた find the "Message" tab. Click it and ...voila!
Just type your message and send it. If they message あなた back, your 受信箱 will tell you! Try it!
Sorry if this was lame! :(
But please remember to

によって the way this is my first soapbox
Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring または annoying. Here is a 一覧 of steps to help あなた out.
1. Try to have もっと見る than three 回答 if possible. If the 質問 is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither または Katy.
2.Always have pictures for the 質問 if it isn't a yes, no, または maybe question. Pictures bring in もっと見る ファン and make the picks もっと見る interesting.
3. Try to ask 質問 that people haven't already asked and 質問 that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.
Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If あなた feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I'm guessing a lot of people have all ready have found this problem but if あなた don't understand then it's like this:
One 日 I decided to create a new club of something that didn't exist as a club yet but I couldn't find the 'Create a club' button. Trust me I looked high and low for the thing but couldn't find it. When I logged out of my account at last there I saw it, the 'Create a club button' so when I clicked on it they of course asked me to sign back in but when I did I was the same position I was in before clicking.
For some people this problem don't seem to happen but for people like me who want to create クラブ but can't because the button is unavailable well it's frustrating. I've been looking abound for some kind of answer but the only thing that came up was a link link
this only leads to あなた having to sign in again. I don't know if it's the signing in thing that's the problem but it really shouldn't be.
Please fix this problem Fanpop!

Yesterday, I was fanpoping. I come across the link spot- And went to videos. link is what I saw. There were 林檎, アップル pie 動画 there. 提出されました によって Hulu.
link are some 画像 によって other fanpopers reporting this.
Hulu's 動画 should NOT be done によって a webcrawler. (or whatever あなた call it) Dave, either have a manual team do hulu's videos, または dont do it at all.
EDIT: as amazondebs says in the comments, ファンポップ isen't even getting paid for hulu's videos. What is the purpose of having them here?
(Another) EDIT: もっと見る of this maddness. and in link spot!
