So I've heard that a lot of users are having problems with the new image uploader. I have to say, it isn't really that complicated. For a 1-2 days it was for me, but I figured it out now. Since some don't, I'll be 書く this 記事 for that situation.

Please note that the browser that I use is Google Chrome, because it has some built-in plug-ins that are handy when surfing the net and uploading images.

Removing your own account is a pretty new feature, many people may not be aware of it yet.

Now what does this mean?

If あなた 削除 your account, あなた must know that:
Your contributions will not be deleted.

All your images, links, comments, フォーラ posts, ウォール posts, 返信 remain on fanpop, 次 to your username.

The ファンポップ website has been around for quite a few years now- 3 years in fact, and whilst it is still relatively unknown compared to the likes of Myspace, フェイスブック and the so-called phenomenon known as Twitter, it is still for me THE website that I pay a visit to on a regular basis.

Well, I started using ファンポップ back in May 2007, and since then I see how the community keeps increasing in numbers which is great. I haven't been the most active user for a while now, but as I 発言しました somewhere else, I've always loved the site and therefore I come back every once in a while to spend some time fanpopping.

There is something I've noticed lately, that is obviously hard to control as the amount of users grows, but I thought I would point it out. What I noticed is a serious misunderstanding of the idea behind the "props" feature.

The concept of the リスペクト is wonderful. ファンポップ is a user based site and users should have the ability to reward others for their hard work. I also agree with the idea behind リスペクト Day. It should serve as a reminder to all users to give that reward. However, the リスペクト system has become flawed. Very flawed. I happened upon a user プロフィール and saw several props. I looked to see when the user started Fanpopping and saw that it had only been two months. Wow! This person must have added tons of content. So I looked at the activity. So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some 動画 and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".

"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created によって an already existing ファンポップ member to skew the results of a pick または an argument in their favor.
