Recently ファンポップ introduced a new feature to our プロフィール pages:

The Showcase!

Eventhough it’s not a very complicated feature, there seem to be quite a few 質問 surrounding the caps. This gave me the idea of 書く this article, answering the most aksed questions. Let me first say that everything I write is based on how I think this new feature works. I’m not one of the fabulous F4, so please correct me if I’m wrong about something.

1. What is the Showcase?
This 質問 was answerd によって F4 Dave: “The new showcase is for your ファンポップ bottlecap collection that will continue to grow with new and exciting バッジ based on your participation and activity across the site.” In other words, the Showcase is the place on your プロフィール page where all your バッジ are presented.

2. What are Caps?
バッジ are rewards that can be earned in different ways (that I’ll explain later). Consider them prices for various things あなた do on Fanpop. They have no further purpose, it’s just fun to get them.

3. How do I get Caps?
That depends on the kind of cap. The system for getting them is automated (like the medals) so whenever あなた deserve to get one, あなた will. Some can be earned によって doing specific things, others are 与えられた randomly.

4. What different kinds of バッジ are there?
So far there are 5 different types of Caps. I’ll explain every type and how to get them here:

4a. ファンポップ Firsts
There are 5 バッジ to earn in this category so far:
1. Fanpup: “Welcome to Fanpop! You’ve earned this adorable 子犬 for joining the ファンポップ family. We’re glad to have あなた here!” This キャップ is earned when あなた 登録する Fanpop, therefore every Fanpopper has this cap.
2. Picture Perfect: “Now don’t あなた look sharp in that プロフィール picture あなた just uploaded? または is that a picture of your dog? Either way, well done.” This キャップ is earned when あなた アップロード a プロフィール picture.
3. Speak your mind: “You added a モットー to your profile. Good for あなた for speaking up for yourself.” This キャップ can be earned によって adding a モットー to your プロフィール page.
4. Wall: “Writing on someone's ウォール on ファンポップ is not really vandalism, we approve of your graffiti here.” This キャップ can be earned によって 書く something on somebody’s wall.
5. Facebook: “ Thanks for フェイスブック Connecting us! あなた really "like" us! Don't worry, we won't spam your News Feed.” This キャップ can be earned when あなた connect your ファンポップ account to your フェイスブック account, and like the ファンポップ page on Facebook.



4b. Frequent Flier
There are 5 バッジ to earn in this category so far:
1. Tourist: “ You've visited ファンポップ 5 days in a row! You're just starting to fly.” This キャップ can be earned によって visiting ファンポップ 5 days in a row.
2. Sightseer: “You've visited ファンポップ 10 days in a row! Let's get あなた in a real plane.” This キャップ can be earned によって visiting ファンポップ 10 days in a row.
3. Traveler: “Wow! You've visited ファンポップ 20 days in a row. あなた must like us! Time to upgrade that old thing with a private jet.” This キャップ can be earned によって visiting ファンポップ 20 days in a row.
4. Jetsetter: "Holy cow! You've come to ファンポップ 50 days in a row! You're totally addicted. Time for a jumbo jet for あなた and all your fans." This キャップ can be earned によって visiting ファンポップ 50 days in a row.
5. Globetrotter: "Visit ファンポップ 100 days in a row." This キャップ can be earned によって visiting ファンポップ 100 days in a row.



4c. Holidays
There are 6 バッジ to earn in this category so far:
1. Valentine's 日 2011: “Will あなた be our Valentine?” This キャップ was earned によって everyone who visited ファンポップ on Februari 14th 2010, Valentine’s Day.
2. St. Patrick's 日 2011: "May the luck of the Irish be with あなた today!" This キャップ was earned によって everyone who visited ファンポップ on March 17th 2011, St. Patrick's Day.
3. April Fool's 日 2011: "Stay on your toes today!" This キャップ was earned によって everyone who visited ファンポップ on April 1st 2011, April Fool's Day.
4. Earth 日 2011: "We've only got one, let's cherish it." This キャップ was earned によって everyone who visited ファンポップ on April 22nd 2011, Earth 日 2011.
5. Easter 2011: "Time to go find those eggs!" This キャップ was earned によって everyone who visited ファンポップ on April 24th, Easter 2011.
6. Happy Birthday 2011: "It's your birthday! We're honored that あなた chose to spend part of it with us so here's to you!" This キャップ can be earned によって visiting ファンポップ on the 日 あなた registered as your birthday in あなた account. This バッジ was introduced in April, so birthdays before that were not rewarded with this cap.



4d. Good Luck Charms
There are 7 バッジ to earn in this category so far:
1.Gold Coin: “There's luck on both sides of this coin!”
2.Wishbone: “May it break your way!”
3.Ladybug: “Looks like ladybug luck is on your side!”
4.Rainbow: “What's at the end of it?”
5.Shooting Star: “When あなた wish upon a star...”
6. Pot of Gold: "Enjoy this pot of ゴールド before the Leprechaun realizes it's missing!"
7. Horseshoe: "Point the ends up!"
All the バッジ is this category are 与えられた randomly. There is nothing あなた can do to earn them. Just spend time on Fanpop, and あなた might just be rewarded with one of these.



4e. Experience
There are 5 バッジ to earn in this category so far:
1. Novice: “You've been a member of ファンポップ for a month! You'll be a pro in no time!” This キャップ can be earned によって being a member of ファンポップ for one month.
2. Learner: “You've been a Fanpopper for a 年 now! Time to ride with the big boys!” This キャップ can be earned によって being a member of ファンポップ for one year.
3. Veteran: “It's been 2 years since you've joined Fanpop! No もっと見る bikes for you, you're cruising now.” This キャップ can be earned によって being a member of ファンポップ for two years.
4. Expert: “Three whole years as a Fanpopper! あなた are clearly ready for your license to Fanpop.” This キャップ can be earned によって being a member of ファンポップ for three years.
5. Master: “Can あなた believe あなた joined ファンポップ four years ago?! Here's a bigger ride for あなた and all your ファン to cruise the site in.” This キャップ can be earned によって being a member of ファンポップ for four years.
