How did Jacob get hurt in the fight with Victoria's newborns??

The 狼男 thought they had got all the newborn vampires. Leah found one and was being cocky trying to prove that she was as strong as the rest of the オオカミ and engaged a newborn alone. Jacob got there and knocked her out of the way but didn't have time to defend himself. The newborn wrapped his arms around Jacob and shattered most of the BONES（ボーンズ）-骨は語る- on the right side of his body.

leah was 芝居 all cocky and didnt realize that there was a newborn behind her and jacob got in front of the newborn before it could attack leah and he ended up with a few broken ribs

He saw Leah trying to kill a newborn vamp no one got and Jake gets him but the newborn got his hands around him and crushes his right side

At the end of the battle, the オオカミ didn't count how many they killed and didn't realise that they missed one. Leah, a female wolf, found the missing new born and wanted to prove herself によって killing it herself. Jacob managed to get Leah out of the way but had no time to defend himself.
