I don't like what they have done with Isobel. She was smart and helpful, had the empathy to understand Mary's feelings for Matthew and the open-mindedness to accept her as her daughter-in-law despite not liking her personally. She didn't deserve not being taken seriously and treated like a ridiculous and annoying control freak during the late second-early third season, while the overbearing Violet became the cool old lady in the family.
