The following morning everyone woke-up bright and early. After breakfast, they set out to meet at Judy Quackmore’s house so they could start on their way in the twenty-passenger bus. While the fifteen girls in the 四十雀, チョコレート troop were boarding the bus Mrs. Quackmore came over to Scrooge, “Well, Mr. McDuck where is the driver あなた promised us?” she asked.
Feeling very excited Webby replied, “He’s right over there,” and pointed toward Duckworth.
“Webbigail, I wasn’t talking to you. I was talking to your uncle.” Mrs. Quackmore 発言しました arrogantly, “Now Mr. McDuck where is that driver!”
“Well, first of all don’t ye dare speak to me wee Webbigail that way again. And second, he’s right over there.” Scrooge said. Then he pointed to Duckworth; who was wearing a camo t-shirt, cargo pants, テニス shoes, and a ball キャップ while looking very awkward.
“Oh my gosh!” Mrs. Quackemore exclaimed when she saw Duckworth, “Who in the world is that handsome devil!”
Surprised and not exactly sure what to say Scrooge replied, “Who? Him? That’s just Duckworth, he’s me personal chauffeur and butler.”
“Is that so?” She replied, “ Well, I think I’ll go introduce myself to Duckworth.”
Minnie, who was looking for Mrs. Quackmore because she had a question, came over to where Scrooge and Webby were standing. “Uncle Scrooge, have あなた seen Mrs. Quackmore anywhere?” she asked.
“Aye. I have,” he replied, “I do believe she’s with Duckworth, または ‘that handsome devil’, as she likes to call him.”
Hearing this Minnie started to giggle a little bit, “Oh, thank you.” She said, and started to walk away. As she turned, it occurred to her that Scrooge had never met, Millie and Melody, and she’d like him to meet her nieces. “Girls! Come over here, for a minute!” she called.
“Coming, Aunt Minnie!” Millie called, as she came running.
“What is it, Aunt Minnie?” Melody asked, as she followed her sister.
“There’s a friend of mine I’d like あなた to meet.” She 発言しました as the girls came over to where they were standing.
Scrooge then noticed the girls standing 次 to Minnie, “My who are these young lassies?” he asked.
“Uncle Scrooge these are my nieces, Millie and Melody.” Then she turned to them, “Girls this is Mr. Scrooge McDuck. He’s the nice man who’s letting us use his キャビン and he’s Webby’s uncle. あなた remember Webby, don’t you?” she 発言しました motioning toward Webby.
“Um…Hi Millie and Melody” Webby 発言しました shyly as she held Scrooge’s hand tightly.
“Thank あなた Mr. McDuck!” both girls 発言しました as they hugged him.
“Well ye are quite welcome, and it’s a pleasure to meet both of you.” Scrooge 発言しました feeling awkward as he hugged them, “Your aunt is very good friend of mine, so I’m sure we’ll be good フレンズ too.”
While hugging him both of the girls thought his name sounded very familiar. All of a sudden Melody realized who he was, “Wow!” she exclaimed, “ Mr. Scrooge McDuck! Are あなた really the richest guy in the world?!”
Hearing her sister, Millie exclaimed, “Oh yeah, I knew I’d heard his name before. So is it true, are あなた really the richest…”
Minnie interrupted, “Girls hush!” She snapped, “We do not ask 質問 like that!” Then she turned to Scrooge, “I am very sorry Uncle Scrooge.”
“Oh, that’s alright. It’s natural that they would curious.” Scrooge 発言しました as he chuckled, then turned to girls “And to answer your question, Aye, I am the richest アヒル, 鴨 in the world.
Suddenly the group heard Mrs. Quackmore call, “Alright everybody on the bus!”
“Come on, Minnie! Come on, Uncle Scrooge!’ デイジー called, “We’ve gotta get going!”
Once on the bus Webby looked around nervously for a place to sit. She knew that she could always sit with Uncle Scrooge または Miss Minnie, but she wanted to fit in with the other girls. But she was also afraid of what would happen if she did try to fit and the girls didn’t like her. Finally she sat down in a シート, 座席 in the empty back row of the bus.
When April, May, and June came onto the bus they noticed that Webby was in their spot. “Sorry Webby, we’re going to have to ask あなた to move.” April said.
“Yeah, あなた probably didn’t know it since you’re new and everything, but this is our spot.” May added.
“Yeah, the back row’s always kinda been ours.” June added.
“Oh…um…okay.” Webby 発言しました as she got up and moved to the 次 row.
Soon Millie and Melody came onto the bus looking for seats also. When they saw Webby sitting in a row によって herself with two empty seats 次 to her they came over, “Hi… Webby…right? Mind if we sit with you?” Melody asked.
Webby shook her head, “No I don’t mind.” She replied.
“Thanks,” 発言しました Millie, “I think it’s really nice of your uncle to let us use his cabin.”
And thus the journey had begun. About five 分 after the bus left the driveway one girl called, “Mr. Duckworth how much longer is it?”
“I believe Mrs. Quackmore 発言しました it was a six 時 drive. So we still have approximately five hours and fifty-five minutes,” Duckworth replied.
“Oh, you’re so good with children.” Mrs. Quackmore, who was sitting in the front シート, 座席 次 Duckworth, said, “Remember my offer’s still open.”
“Madame, as I 発言しました before I have no interest in dating you.” Duckworth 発言しました firmly.
Suddenly all the little girls burst into chorus, “Mrs. Quackmore and Mr. Duckworth sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G…” they chanted.
デイジー quickly joined into the chorus. Scrooge, not knowing how to react, groaned and plugged his ears hoping to block out the sound of high-pitched chanted; all the while trying to keep his temper, によって imagining he was back ホーム relaxing in his money bin. Finally Minnie spoke-up, “Girls, Hush! Do not tease people like that!” she 発言しました firmly, and then added “And デイジー do not encourage it.”
The girls quickly quieted down. Some of them began to play car games, like “I Spy” and “Twenty Questions”. Webby was very happy to find out that she had a lot in common with Minnie’s nieces. She, Millie, and Melody had long discussion about お茶, 紅茶 parties with their dolls.
In the mean time April, May, and June sat in the back row admiring the male モデル in their fashion magazine. Suddenly the three of them exploded with laughter, and April shrieked, “Oh my gosh! Aunt デイジー あなた won’t believe who made the worst dressed セレブ list!”
“Oh, goody let me see it!” デイジー exclaimed, “I 愛 seeing セレブ look stupid.”
“Here あなた go!” called June, as she threw the magazine to her aunt. Unfortunately her aim was off, so instead of デイジー catching the magazine, it flew past her hitting Scrooge’s 上, ページのトップへ hat and knocking it onto the girl sitting front him.
Scrooge, who was focusing on the conversation he was having with Minnie, was unaware that something had been thrown, “Curse me kilts!” he shouted, “What in blazes just hit me?! And where did me hat go?!” he exclaimed, as felt his bare head.
Minnie, who was also startled, exclaimed, “What on earth was that?!”
The girl sitting in front of them called, “Hey, what just landed on my head?” Then after pulling the 上, ページのトップへ hat off, she called, “Um…Mr. McDuck, I think I just found your hat!”
デイジー and her nieces all started to laugh. Minnie, Scrooge, and Webby, glared back at them. “Sorry.” デイジー 発言しました still laughing, “Like I 発言しました I 愛 seeing セレブ look stupid.”
“Oops, my bad.” June said, “Can Aunt デイジー have the magazine?”
After the hat and magazine were back in the hands of their rightful owners Minnie waited to see if Mrs. Quackson would say anything. She soon realized that she too busy flirting with Duckworth to notice, so she addressed them herself, “Girls do not throw things in the bus, that’s dangerous. If あなた want to 表示する someone something pass it up to them!” Minnie 発言しました firmly.
Some time later, Minnie and Scrooge’s conversation was interrupted によって Webby yelling, “…No, pink!”
Followed によって Millie yelling back, “…No, I 発言しました purple!”
And Melody yelling, “…No green’s the best!”
“Webbigail Vanderquack, stop that screaming this instant!” Scrooge shouted.
“Millie and Melody Mouse, quiet; use your indoor voices!” Minnie said.
“Sorry, Uncle Scrooge.” Webby said. “But this is important.”
“Yeah, it’s really important!” Millie added.
“Well, what is so important that あなた feel like あなた have to fight, girls?” Minnie asked.
“We’re trying to determine what is the best color in the universe.” Melody replied.
“See Millie says purple, and Melody says it’s green, but I say it’s pink.” Webby explained.
“So what do あなた think purple, green, または pink?” Millie asked.
“Well, those are all nice colors, but none of them are me favorite,” Scrooge answered. “And they are definitely not worth fighting over!” he snapped.
Minnie, who was もっと見る accustomed to dealing with little girls’ arguments, thought quickly, “Well what’s wrong with liking different colors?” she asked “It’s not like あなた can’t be friends, if あなた do not agree on everything. Just look at Uncle Scrooge and me. My お気に入り color is red, because it reminds me of Mickey.” Then she turned to Scrooge. “And…um… do あなた have a お気に入り color?”
“Well…I…um… never really… thought about it.” He stammered. “I suppose it would be gold. Aye that’s what it would be.”
“See we have different お気に入り colors, and we’re friends.” Minnie 発言しました sweetly, “Besides I really don’t think there’s a best color, just everyone’s own personal favorite.”
“I guess you’re right.” Melody replied.
“Sorry we were so loud.” Webby said, “We just wanted our new best フレンズ club to represented によって the best color.”
“Well, why don’t あなた just use all three colors?” Minnie asked.
“Aye, there’s an idea.” Scrooge said, “And if ye ask me your best フレンズ club will no be very friendly, if ye keep on arguing like that,” he 発言しました very firmly.
デイジー was sitting in the row behind them 読書 her fashion magazine. She overheard this conversation, and a felt another twinge of jealously over Minnie and Scrooge’s friendship.
Later they heard another, “How much further Mr. Duckworth?”
“Still another three hours to our final destination. But, we should be stopping to get lunch in about five minutes.” Duckworth replied.
Hearing this Mrs. Quackmore stopped admiring Duckworth and spoke-up, “Alright girls your parents should have 与えられた あなた enough money to get a kids’ meal, I need to know what kind あなた want. あなた want, burger, chicken nuggets, または 魚 sandwich?”
“My nieces and I won’t take any of those unhealthy options.” デイジー replied, “We’ll each take a nice, healthy, grilled-chicken salad.”
“Um… how are あなた going to eat salads in the bus?” Minnie asked.
デイジー thought for a moment, then replied, “We’ll manage.”
“Um…I’ll take the chicken サンドイッチ meal.” Minnie said, “And girls what would あなた like?” she asked her nieces
“Cheeseburger!” Millie called.
“Fish sandwich!” called Melody,
“And Webbigail and I will take the quarter-pound burger meal to share,” Scrooge said.
Once Mrs. Quackmore had gotten all the orders she said, “Now girls, this will be your last chance to use the restroom for a while, so I strongly recommend あなた go at the restaurant. The chaperones will take あなた into the restroom, while I order lunch. Stay with the group…”
Scrooge interrupted her, feeling awkward he said, “Excuse me, Mrs. Quackmore, but… uh I can no exactly take them into the lassie’s room… as a man ye know.”
“Oh, that’s right,” she 発言しました a little haughtily, “This is another reason why we don’t usually do male chaperones. I guess, I’ll go with Minnie and デイジー and take the girls to restroom. And Mr. McDuck, あなた can buy all our food.”
Hearing this Scrooge shouted, “What?! No one told me that I’d have to buy all of your meals with me own money! Why if I’d known that…”
“Calm down, Uncle Scrooge!” Minnie whispered to him, feeling a little embarrassed, “I think she means that you’ll order our lunch, and pay for it with the girls’ money.”
After they had gotten their lunches to go and were back in the bus, they began to pass the meals out to the girls. Scrooge handed Webby half a burger and half an order of fries. “Here ye are darling. Lunch is served.”
“Um… where’s my drink?” Webby asked, “And don’t tell me the drinks were too expensive.”
After taking a big gulp out of a thirty-two ounce soda he handed it back to her, “Don’t worry dear I didn’t forget your drink. It’s オレンジ soda, your favorite.” He said.
“Oh goody! Thank you!” Webby exclaimed.
About twenty 分 later Scrooge reached behind him, “Webby darling could ye hand me that soft drink, I could use another drink.”
All he got for an answer was, “uuuh…. No.”
After hearing this Scrooge and Minnie, both looked back to see what was going on. What they saw was Webby with her legs crossed, and teeth clenched, rocking back a forth. “Webby, what’s wrong?” Minnie asked.
“I’ve gotta go potty, really bad.” Webby groaned.
“Why on earth do ye need to use the restroom again?!” Scrooge exclaimed. “Didn’t ye just go at the restaurant?”
“Yeah, but I drank my whole soda.” Webby answered.”
“Oh darling that was for us to share.” Scrooge groaned.
“Well… it looks like we’ll need to make another stop.” Minnie 発言しました trying to sound cheerful.
“Aye” Scrooge said, then called, “Mrs. Quackmore, it appears that we need to make an emergency restroom stop.”
“Sorry Mr. McDuck, but remember the restaurant was the last chance to use the bathroom for a while. Our 次 stop isn’t for another fifty miles.” Mrs. Quackmore replied.
Filled with anger, Scrooge shouted, “Duckworth pull over at the nearest gas station.”
“Yes sir.” Duckworth called.
“Oh, but Duckworth…” Judy 発言しました trying to sound sweet, “It’s very untraditional for us to make unplanned stops.”
“Well, it is also very untraditional of me not to follow Mr. McDuck’s orders,” Duckworth 発言しました smiling.
After they stopped at the gas station, the journey continued for a few もっと見る hours, everyone continued to visit. The girls talked about several different things, including their お気に入り テレビ shows, “…my お気に入り is My Little Pony,” 発言しました Webby.
“Yeah, that one’s good,” replied Millie.
“Hey Webby,” 発言しました Melody, “Millie and I were wondering have あなた ever seen the 表示する Jessie?”
“Um…no haven’t seen it. Uncle Scrooge won’t let me watch it.” Webby replied.
“Well, you’re not missing much, I never could understand the characters in that 表示する anyway,” 発言しました Millie.
When Minnie briefly overheard this conversation, she was not at all surprised, since she had recently read an 記事 about he 表示する Jessie. The 記事 stated that not only could many children not relate to the charters, but that many wealthy parents were not allowing their children to view it. She smiled a little at hearing the conversation, because she had never cared much for the program.
Sometime later, Minnie and Scrooge’s conversation was again interrupted によって an all too familiar question. “Did she just ask Duckworth how much longer, again?” Minnie asked.
“Aye, she did. I believe that’s the eighteenth time she’s asked him that. And of course she’s not the only one to ask that question.” Scrooge replied.
“Oh, poor Duckworth.” Minnie 発言しました giggling.
“Aye, poor Duckworth.” Scrooge 発言しました also laughing.
But, their laughter was interrupted によって Duckworth saying, “Well, to answer your question, we have actually just arrived at our final destination.”
