The Hunchback fo Notre Dame is a forgotten ディズニー film. Many believe that their children should not see it because it is scary and hard to understand. However, I believe that kids should watch it because it gives off very important messages.
When I watched the movie when I was little I thought it was a good movie that was a little scary at some times but fun to watch. I admit that I did not understand everything that was happening at that time. But as I watched it with my parents that first thing they asked when when the movie ended was "Ok... who was the monster and who was the man?" This was the single most important thing that I learned from the movie. Although Quasi had the physical characteristics of a "monsters, it was Frollo who was the monster within. Unlike all other ディズニー movies, the main character is not beautiful, he looks like the typical bad-guy, ugly (i know his ugliness is toned down some.. but still). This is something that other ディズニー 映画 doesn't cover and it is a very important thing for young people to learn.
Years later I watched the movie again. This time I understood もっと見る of the plot and came to enjoy it even more. I get the jokes and I understand to characters better.
