I have to tell you that I won't be uploading for a while. Maybe I WILL make another round of my Best Hair Countdown, but that's it. We're on a trip and there's no Wi-Fi there, so... yeah.

As for Belle, I feel like SHE doesn't change, but she changes OTHERS instead. But as many others told in previous rounds, she remains the same person.

The whole point of the movie is that she doesn't need to change. She's the Beauty.

Yup. She doesn't change. Thanks to Elinor changing for Merida's sake, ( just like Adam does for Belle, and Triton does for Ariel) Merida doesn't need to change her mind at all, and no change happens in Merida.

she doesn't change and isn't expected to. instead, like with ariel, other people change for her to get what she wants.

@KL the question is whether or not the character is changed, not whether that change was done well by the film makers.

As I said before, she changes everyone around her, but beside becoming less afraid of the Beast, she doesn't really change. Come to think of it, Pocahontas seems to be real similar to Belle in that way.

@Aang_Lite_ The countdown is called "the best development countdown" not the "who changed the most countdown." So Merida's badly done development is worse than having no development at all in my opinion.

But it's asking us to prove that development by asking who changed the most. There's no point in changing the purpose of the poll due to semantics.
