I love "Almost there"! I love them all!

This song is so cute. I also really like Almost There, the prolouge song, love them all really. I was surprised how good the sountrack for this film turned out. Really good. :)

Hmm, the only decent ones to me were Almost There and Friends on the Other Side. I would've probably liked Dig A Little Deeper since it's a gospel song but Mama Odie and her annoying voice killed it for me. It lifted me up for several seconds when Tiana sang "Blue skies and sunshiiiiiine". Umm, Down in New Orleans is fine. At least I like Tiana's reprise of it at the end.

The other songs like When We're Human, Ma Belle Evangeline, Gonna Take You There are just...not to my liking. Though I love the line "Life is short. When you're done, you're done. We're on this earth to have some fun. And that's the way things are..." I sing that part all the time.

Yeah, I really don't like this soundtrack. I knew I wouldn't ever since I heard there'd be jazz in it. Just Almost There and Friends on the Other Side for me. Friends on the Other Side, I like it mainly for Keith David's voice. I didn't know he was going to sing in this movie. <3 And the song is almost as crazy as Poor Unfortunate Souls, which I also love.

What is the genre for each song? I know Dig A Little Deeper is gospel. But I don't know what's the difference between showtunes, jazz, zydeco, and dixieland. Which is which?
