I wanted to do another countdown similar to the outfit countdown I just finished, only with songs. I know I did the song one already a couple months ago but I would like to do a new one with Frozen and Moana included

I have a suggestion: Instead of constantly having this discussion, how about we agree to optionally adding Elsa, Anna and Moana to countdowns in the Club as soon as Wreck-it Ralph is released? Because their presence in the movie makes them semi-official, and this way we have some sort of "proof" for them being part in the line-up (them being featured as part of the group in an official Disney movie). This way we have a definitive event which more or less replaced the coronation. And it's only a few months now.

I woudn't mind.

Based on just their appearance in Wreck It Ralph 2, which is not even touted as a princess movie? It's a movie about Ralph and Vanellope?

Just deciding that they are official doesn't make them official. If so, then we should include Leia from Star Wars, and Clara from the upcoming Disney Nutcracker movie, Elena of Avalor, Princess Sofia, and Sade.

Otherwise, don't make this about only adding Elsa, Anna, and Moana, while excluding the rest.

As I've said in the title of this poll I know they're not official and I never said they were official

I'm mostly talking about Elsa, Anna, and Moana because they were the most recent heroines, if I use other heroines from the past it would be a very long poll

Also I can't add Leia into a song countdown because Star Wars isn't a musical, Clara hasn't even been released yet and she and Leia are live action

I can't include Elena of Avalor or Princess Sofia because not only are they from tv shows, they have too many songs to keep track of

Also I don't know who Sade is

I should have been more clear on what kind of song countdown this would be, it's like the outfit countdown where there'd be different categories; "I want..." songs, villain songs, love songs, etc if Frozen and Moana were added there wouldn't be too much added

^ It is a great idea to make countdowns like the ones you made with the outfits.

I think that to this coutdown it is good to include Elsa Anna and Moana, because polls were getting a little bit less interesting always using the same princesses. I think they will help to make polls more interesting (as we dont know how beloved are them) and also to have more options to pick.

So for me it is a YES

BB2010, I still think this is way more songs than anybody could possibly "sort through" in order to make a choice. Even including Frozen and Moana, each person can pick only one song choice each time.

I don't see how you could ever get "a fair" outcome from this sort of countdown, because not everything appeals to everybody. And there are maybe just 20 consistent members of this club who would vote with a comment for elimination purposes. Unlike the transformation countdown and outfit countdowns, this could be fatiguing, because of the sheer number of songs, even without adding in Frozen and Moana songs. The existing official Disney Princess song repertoire easily passes the 50 song mark.

I just don't see why we need to have Elsa, Anna, and Moana added to this countdown, or any others. Even when other people include them in countdowns, it is terribly repetitive. Everybody votes Elsa, and hardly anybody votes the Anna choice. Moana is middle-of-the-road-ish and not everybody likes her, either.

I think the songs are just too many in number, even without adding nonofficial DPs and their songs into the mix. So, unless you really want to pour through fewer and fewer comments, as fatigue sets in, then I would pass on doing this.

I did this countdown a couple months ago without a problem and when I did the Heroine countdown there were several options and it went on for a long time and there still wasn't a problem

this list, without the frozen and moana songs, is the same list I used for this countdown last time, only with Brave taken out because there were a lot of arguments about how Merida technically didn't sing any of the songs in her movie

You're including nonofficial DPs "who sing" in their movie, and excluding an official DP who "doesn't sing" in her movie.

Why not just stick with the 10 DPs who are both official, and who also sing in their movies? This avoids conscious bias, and the weirdness of including Frozen and Moana over Brave.

^Frozen and Moana are actually musicals that's why I have their songs in and left out 2 of 3 Brave's songs

if you don't want to participate in a countdown that includes Frozen and Moana that's okay. I'm not forcing anybody to participate, it's all for fun

I'd rather keep the villain songs where they are

I wasn't even thinking about the villain songs...are they magical? *thinks* Oh, right Faciliers song is.

I actually consider "Poor Unfortunate souls" and the part where Ursula actually steals the voice two songs which happen directly after each other (or at least, Ariel singing in this sequence is, even if there are no actual words, there is singing which kind of makes it a song, but the incarnation by Ursula doesn't really belong to poor unfortunate soul either, that song ends for me when Ariel signs the contract). And then there is the part where Aurora is lured to the spindle...you can barely hear it, but there is a voice singing "Aurora" to lure her in, it's very haunting.

But that's for you to decide, just a suggestion. Thanks for including the Magical songs category.
