I don't care what the haters say, he's very well-developed. The pacing of his development, while not the best or as good as Rapunzel's development, is done very well.

Also, I know I left out Naveen. But that's because I asked a question about Naveen's character development a month ago.

He's certainly not flat, I don't know why people are picking that. The issue here is that we see his personality emerge halfway through so he starts to develop but for half the film he's putting on an act.

It's not that he's flat, his development is just very rushed and frankly a bit confusing. I still can't figure outifjust having a "moment" with Rapunzel on the lake is supposed to be showing us how and why he grows or they just expected us to not notice he doesn't develop for any particular reason.

Why are people picking "no?" As much as he irritates me he's definitely a developed character, even though (to me at least) his backstory feels slightly unnatural and tacked on. Like the writers just wanted him to be complex and didn't care how it was portrayed. But regardless, he still develops as the movie progresses.
