well these results really throw me off. My personal top four would be
1. Pocahontas
2. Mulan
3. Belle

But now that Pocahontas is gone, I can see that Mulan is going to win without question. *Sigh* Any way, I've given my reasons about why I think Tiana should leave. Let the bickering begin! :)

I really feel like if elimination is based on comments, it should also be based on the content of people's comments, not just voting and commenting with no explanation in their comment....just imo

I'll wait and see what kind of comments are left by the end of the poll, but I think I'll end up doing that. i think people are just looking at the princesses at a surface level. Tiana has a dream career, that makes her more feminist than Belle (and *sigh* Pocahontas) apparently even though a lot of the stuff Tiana does contradicts this.

I'll admit, the only reason I voted for Tiana in the last round was in an attempt to keep Pocahontas in the top three.
I really find her and Tiana pretty even in feminism. I just find Tiana a little bit more so because she works at her dream and does something to get it, not to mention that it was something that was considered taboo for her to try and do. Belle is awesome too, though. Like I said, they're basically equal to me.
Pocahontas leaving has left me deflated.

Opps, I forgot my sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet. I mean that since Tiana's dream is a career, people think she's more feminist than Poca and Belle, even though she does a lot of things that aren't very feminist.

Deflated is exactly how I feel about Poca leaving. She should still be in. To me she should be first, so I don't know how to vote on who's left. I'll have some trouble voting between Belle and Mulan.

This was hard, I think Tiana and Belle are about the same level. I think people are exaggeration at the ending of Patf. Sure it wasn't feminist at all of her but Naveen was going to marry her and maybe she thought it would be wrong living that way. I'm not explaining right but hopefully someone will understand xD But it's still reason enough to vote for her with who's remaining.

I might change my vote to Tiana though, she's was a perfect feminist character until she was willing to give up her whole dream and lifelong hard work for a man. But at the same time Belle is kind of a damsel in distress (moreso than Snow and Aurora in my opinion) and she does fall in love with an abusive man, whether she has Stockholme or not. And Beast could always return to his violent ways. But then again, Tiana falls in love with a sexist jerk who only values money, and Naveen could always go back to HIS ways. I'm very conflicted.

This is exactly my top 3! And it's really hard to vote now, but I'm going for Belle.Belle fights strongly for her beliefs and does not care about what is "wrong for a woman" or not. However for me she does it on a much smaller level than Tiana and Mulan. Tiana did not only want a career. She wanted to prove that she can make her dream come true, despite the harsh environment. She wants to achieve something, which is unthinkable for a woman (especially of an African American woman) in the 1920s. Mulan on the other hand showed the whole world that if given equal opportunities and treatment, women can be just as capable as men. So, while there's no doubt that all three are feminist friendly, I think's Belle needs to go now.

What makes Belle a feminist? Because she's smart? What does smart have to do with feminism? Not that feminist aren't smart.

Think about it. Belle says she wants to leave so much but she doesn't because her father needs a woman to take care of him. The only reason she leaves is because she finds another man that needs her. She say she wants to be independent but in reality she exists to assist men.

It's so HARD! All of them (Belle, Mulan, Tiana) actually can live without a man, I think. Though Belle helps her father and Beast, she does it because she loves them all, not because she has to.

And Tiana is the most hardworking of them all. She fights hard to earn a good position in society, considering her gender and background. If in the end she says she can't live without Naveen, it's because she loves him and wants to have him. Loving a man is not a weakness, I think.

Mulan is going to win, I'm sure. But she lives in a situation in which men are more valued than women, and she doesn't protest anything about it. All she wants to do is to prove she can do something great and bring honor to her family. She is even willing to go to the matchmaker and get married to somebody she doesn't know (at first) just to bring honor to her family.

In my opinion, Belle and Tiana are more concerned about gender difference in their situations, so I pick Mulan.

That's really hard...and if this were about the movie, I would vote for Patf, no question. But Tiana as a character is very feminist. And between Belle and Mulan...Belle is more rebellious towards society and insists on her right of choice, Mulan on the other hand is a character who proves what a woman can do just by sticking her into another enviroment. The fact that Mulan doesn't demand but does instead something, and Tiana also tries to work for her dreams while Belle doesn't leads me to voting for Belle first.

AGHH, but Mulan and Belle at least stick to what they say all the way to the end. For me its completely about endgame. If you're feminist throughout the entire film but throw it all away in the end for a guy, then how does anything you did previously even MATTER?
