I made an updated version not long ago, but within what, two weeks it was outdated again. So I told myself "Stop spamming the 記事 section and wait till アナと雪の女王 is out so あなた can make a 一覧 with Anna and Elsa." But then I thought that since there's another 月 until アナと雪の女王 comes out, I should just make a 一覧 for October and then a 一覧 for November when アナと雪の女王 does come out.

Rediscovering Disney: Interlude

Before I continue to in my journey through the ディズニー Princess movies, I think I should explain something about “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”: I suspect that I see (or better: hear) this movie a little bit different than the English speaking audience. So many tend to コメント on Snow White’s squeaky voice, but that’s not the voice I grew up with.

It’s sometimes surprising how much difference a dubbing can make to a movie. Not that I think that the English dubbing is bad (although it lacks at least in the regard that it doesn’t have a narrator for the 書く in the storybook),...

#10: Mulan: I 愛 how she is kind, self-reliant, and stong-hearted. I 愛 that she is clumsy and a complete tomboy. I can relate to her that way. I myself am very clumsy and somewhat of a tomboy. I know I seem like I'm sipping Mulan-Flavored Haterade, but I genuinely don't dislike the movie. It's entertaining and hearing the 音楽 puts me in ninja-mode, but the romance is not only unnecessary, it's also unconvincing. ムーラン and Shang both seem infinitely lovable (after all, lots of guys like women who can kick their asses,) but I just don't buy it. Is it funny? Sort of. Is it convincing? Definitely not.
