"It will always be Stefan"? Seriously? xD And I am so proud of the DE fan-base! There are millions of 'meaningful' reasons why Delena should be the end-game. Plus, yes it's true that DE fans are more in number. It's just because how epic their love is. ;)

delenasalvatore The way I see it, the fact that Elena says 'It's you and me, Stefan always' means that it won't be. What does she say in 2x20? To paraphrase: 'I don't know what love is.' Do SE fans who revel in the joyful knowledge that it will always be Stefan in Elena's heart ever think of the implications of that little statement?? Secondly, the idea that the producers of the show are 'taking advantage' of DE fans because there are more of us is completely untrue. It's a love triangle, not a Stelena lovefest. So whether SE fans like it or not, DE will ALWAYS exist as long as the show is running. As long as SE exist, so will they. The fact that there are more DE fans is irrevelant. If the producers want to keep DE in the show, or even make the main focus of the show about DE, then they'll do it, regardless of who likes it and who doesn't. They know that there is a noticeable Bamon following from the books, and the interest is defintely there, but have they put it in the show? No. So you can't say that just because a ship has a lot of fans, then it means the producers will pander to their wishes. If that were true, they would have already given us Delena. The argument against Damon/Rebekah sex. SE fans are so intent on proving DE will never come to anything. Then, suddenly out of the blue, when Damon hooks up with another girl, SUDDENLY he's been unfaithful to Elena, and doesn't deserve her. They seem to conveniently 'forget' that DE AREN'T a couple. Damon is therefore free to have sex with whoever he wants. He's under no obligation to be celibate for the rest of his life just because he's in love with Elena and can't have her. ESPECIALLY when she's been so callous towards him. SE fans shouldn't be so naive. Elena understands that she's the catalyst for Damon/Rebekah. If she hadn't said what she said to him, he wouldn't have done it. So she's just as responsible for it as Damon is. Elena also mentions later on to Rebekah that the only reason why Rebekah slept with Damon was to get revenge on HER. Rebekah was mad at Elena for staking her in the back and she knew that if she slept with Damon, it would tick Elena off in a major way. So there are all kinds of other forces coming into play here, not merely a simple case of 'Damon is an unfaithful, good-for-nothing toad who doesn't deserve Elena's love because he slept with another woman!' Damon and Rebekah both wanted to get 'revenge' on Elena and 'escape'; Elena isn't a victim. She understands what she caused here.

amshafe ^Yeah, I agree with everyone. Some of their comments are just ridiculous. I mean, this whole Rebekah thing is just above and beyond. One second they're like "Delena is never going to happen, Elena loves Stefan" and the next they're like "Damon slept with Rebekah, look what he did to Elena, now she'll never forgive him". LOL, it's hilarious if you really think about it. So which is it? Was Delena never going to happen in the first place, or is it now not going to happen because Damon, who is single and has no hope for him and Elena, slept with someone else? Smh.
