Co-written with Steve Cropper, "Dock Of The Bay", was a postumous #1 hit on the BILLBOARD Pop charts, just one following his untimely passing on December 10, 1967. En route another engagement in Madison, Wisconsin, and due to severe weather conditions, Otis Redding alongside his backing band, the Bar-Kays, and personal pilot, Richard Fraser, were killed when their plane plunged 40ft in icy the waters of Lake Monona.
