Aha! A 質問 I actually feel qualified to answer!

As I've 発言しました in the past, the beliefs of individual Agnostics and Atheists vary as much as beliefs of individual Christians. によって definition alone, though, Agnostics believe that nothing is certain, and that the existence of God is indeterminable. "Gnosis" means "knowledge" in Latin and the prefix "a" means "no," - IE, Agnosticism literally translates into "no knowledge" または "without knowledge."

Atheists, on the other hand, believe very firmly that there is no God at all. They believe this as strongly as あなた believe that there is a God. あなた believe so strongly that あなた say that あなた know there is a God, and that He loves あなた and that He sent His only son to die for your sins. They claim to know that there is no God.

Atheists don't disagree with God because they don't believe He exists. They would disagree with Christians, who believe God does exist. But just because they disagree, it doesn't mean that they don't respect Christians. While it's true that some Atheists are condescending, and don't respect Christians, but that's not true for all of them.

The stereotype of Atheists is one of overly rational snobs who look down on the religious. However, the stereotype of Agnostics is one of indecision and almost cowardice. Agnosticism, from a negative perspective, is seen as a refusal to choose a religion, または a fear of being wrong. Like I said, though - these are stereotypes and assumptions, and are only as true as similar Christian stereotypes あなた may be familiar with.

As an Agnostic, I have absolutely nothing against the religious, Christians または otherwise. As I stated link: "I, personally, believe that there is a force out there greater than man, but that no singular religion has it quite right. I've never been a ファン of boxing myself in with the creeds and holy texts of a single religion, as I admire several religions, and they have several things in common. A disorganized brain such as mine does not fit well inside an organized religion. I 愛 figuring things out, learning about things, discussing and philosophizing and constantly changing my mind. I believe there is value in all religions. I follow the teachings of Christ, but not his religion. I also quote Krishna and Buddha, but I am neither Hindu nor Buddhist. I am a patchwork quilt of spirituality. But I don't think any one, on it's own, is the only way. I also believe that we will never understand everything about our universe and I accept it. But it doesn't stop me from wondering."

"I follow the teachings of Christ, but not his religion"Contradictory statement.Besides Christ did not start a religion.Christianity is not a religion. Some people might have introduced elements of religion in to Christianity. It's a way of life.Very different from world religions.Particularly paganism.

Then allow me to rephrase - I follow teachings of Christ, but not the religion that people based on him. キリスト教 IS a religion, but it is different from paganism in that it's a MONOTHEISTIC religion, just like Judaism and イスラム教 are monotheistic religions. Christ did have a philosophy, like Buddha, and I suppose あなた can say that I agree with several aspects of that philosophy, but as I do not agree with the Bible as a whole, または necessarily the Christian religion in general, I do not ascribe to the whole religion.
