I was thinking of this while watching the other 日 the Nostalgia Critic's review of the 白鳥, スワン Princess, and how critical and overly nitpicky he was in general towards this movie...
And that made me think how almost all non-Disney 映画 are treated in this way (of course, there are a few notable exceptions as the Studio Ghibli films and the Dreamworks ones), that audiences feel the need that if they are animated 映画 which aren't Disney, they must be held in an impossibly high standard and they must please every demand of the audience.
