Aw hun thats happened to me too with my dad cos my dad's so clumsy lol. But yeah I don't think your cat thought あなた did it, he was just scared and probably in a lot of pain since ネコ are so much smaller and weaker than us. So it didnt matter who was helping him, he still would have been worried which is understandable. Your ネコ is probably happy あなた tried to help him.
But あなた really need to take him to the vet, because (I'm not trying to scare you) but the same thing happened to my friend's cat and it seemed fine, but then two days later he died of a brain hemhorrage (like bleeding in the brain). あなた should take him to the vet because ネコ have such fragile heads and otherwise he could be brain-damamged.

ネコ really do not remember that sort of stuff, it probably didn't even know it was your dad that hurt it.
This one time my cat was playing with a camera from underneath a 表, テーブル until it fell and hit him on the head. That scared him allot, and since my mom was によって the table, he assumed she did that to him. He avoided her for the rest of the day, but he seemed completely forget about it later.
